Review: ELF Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Warm Tan

ELF Healthy Glow Bronzer

Yay! I've hit pan.

Close up of the color

I've had this bronzer for at least 3 years. I used to really like this as an all over color because I used to be more tanned. Now I find the color a bit too orange for my liking. Also, it is a shimmery bronzer so you have to be careful when using it as a contour.

Overall it's really good for a dollar! And I would recommend it to anyone starting out in makeup. But if you already have a couple bronzers in your collection, you can probably pass up on this one.

How the contouring helps my facial features
*I only have the bronzer on, no other makeup*
If you put blush and blend it together with the bronzer, it will define your cheek even better!

MAC Archie Collection: Mall Madness Lipglass

So I told myself I'm on a spending ban but I've been seeing the whole Archie collection everywhere and the packaging is so adorable!! I was initially setting on buying the blush or the pearl matte powder but both were sold out at my local mall (Richmond Center)

Three of the lipglasses were still left and that was perfect because I actually don't own any MAC lipgloss. I tried on Summer Sweetheart which looked too pale and terrible on my lips. In the end I picked up Mall Madness from the Veronica collection. It was the last one left at the store! It came out to be $22.50 after tax which is quite pricey but I figured the packaging was too cute to pass up!

I have the MAC Style Curve lipstick which I think would pair great with this lipgloss.

I really like it so far! The best thing about the color is the multi-dimensional sparkle when it catches the light. It is quite sticky and my hair got caught in it when it's windy but it has good lasting power! Overall I'm really pleased with this purchase. But I will definitely be continuing my spending ban for a while!

Did you guys get anything from the Archie collection? Do you like buying limited edition items or from permanent lines?

ELF Studio Makeup Wipes + Lip Exfoliator

After I received my ELF haul, I got kind of overwhelmed with the number of products and was able to dabble into each but not really use them enough for a review.

Recently I've been using the ELF makeup wipes a lot and I am ready to RAVE about it.

It takes off make up easily.
It is super convenient to use
Does not sting my eyes.
Does not leave a greasy film, but moisturizes my face.
It's only $3

Next time you need make up remover wipes, skip neutrogena or simple and try this alternative! It's amazing!

A second product I've been using recently is the studio line lip exfoliator

I like it, but I don't love it yet. The taste and smell is to die for. I almost just want to bite it off. Kidding, that's gross. It moisturizes my lips quite well. The only problem I have with it, is that sometimes the  beads all clump together and you can't get any off to actually exfoliate your lips. So then you are just rubbing your lips across this hard bumpy surface and it kind of hurts.

The packaging says: Gently exfoliates lips to remove dry chapped skin with a sugary sweet and smoothing sensation. Treats and smoothes lips for a conditioned and revitalized feel.

I love how the first ingredient is sugar and the second is avocado oil. It's a very chemical free product!

This product makes my lips super smooth just like it claims. For $3 these two products are a win and a must have! I suggest going and trying these out.

What I'm Wearing #1

I'm really interested in what people use on a daily basis. For me I want to trim down my collection so I can buy some new things in the summer. Here's what I'm going to be wearing in February on a daily basis.

Face Products

1) Garnier Skin Renew Awakening Face Massager: Using this as a base

2) Stila Tinted Moisturizer: This has a dewy finish

3) ELF Under Eye Concealer: I just got this, and so far I don't really like it. It's light coverage and the highlighter side is all glittery.

4) ELF Healthy Glow Bronzer in Warm Tan: As you can see, I've hit pan on this. I had this for many years so I want to actually finish it! It's a nice bronzer with a bit of sheen, definitely not matte.

No Makeup on at all. Yikes :(

With the Face Products (Excuse my bad hair day)

Eye Products

1) Rimmel Extra Super Lash: I like the dramatic effect this mascara gives, but recently it's been slightly clumpy.

2) Too Faced Lock Down Cream Eyeshadow in Jail Bait: This is the perfect color (shimmery light pink) for an all over the lid base. Doubles as an eye primer. I'm planning on using this everyday and alternating the crease color between the shadows I have.

3) Wet n Wild Kohl Brow-Eyeliner:  A basic black eyeliner. I've had this for a long time so I want to finish.

4) Almay Intense i-Color Trio for Browns: As you can see, I've had this for forever as well. I only have one color left which is a coppery-brown.

5) Lancome Color Focus Duo in Round Midnight: Two colors I can use in the crease.

With all the eye makeup on. I chose to use the Almay brown in the crease.

Review: Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia

Burt's Bees is well known as the yellow tube tingly lip balm. They've recently expanded and included a line of tinted lip balms. Retails at $7.99 which is pretty pricey. I believe I bought mine in a pack of 2 burt's bees products at Target for $6. I actually bought this probably over a year ago but I'm finally getting to this one.

The product is 100% natural. Coconut oil, vegetable, beeswax, olive oil are some of the top ingredients

As many people talked about, the packaging is very deceiving. It looks like the lip balm will kind of be a jumbo tube but it's just normal sized. Nothing wrong with the packing but the brown lip balm tube isn't the most attractive packaging out there.

The color I have is Red Dahlia, which is a dark berry red. It's really beautiful for the winter time.
The one thing I don't like is that when the lip balm gets soft, you can't really control where the color goes. So when you put on the lip balm you get color all around your lips and that's not cute.

Other than that, it's a great lip balm. Conditions and hydrates the lips. Smells fresh. If you are looking for a multi purpose lip product that adds color and protects, I definitely recommend this!
