Pretty much this is marketed as a lip ointment that helps to relieve cold sores and dry lips. When you put it on, it is quite minty and has a medicated smell. I actually like the smell but some people might be put off. The cooling feel would be nice if you have irritated or chapped lips.
It's a really thin consistency and it doesn't feel oily at all. Feels very water based. The product sinks into your lips after application so it doesn't stay on like lipbalms. But that means it's perfect to use before lipsticks.Lip Balm Ratings
I've been using this for a while
White colored lip ointment
Overall: 24/30 B
I haven't found this to be super moisturizing but it does feel very nice on the lips. I think this ointment makes the most impact if you actually have cold sores or super dry lips. I've been using it as a daily lip balm and it's not as great as Burt's Bees and the likes but it is really nice to use before lipstick application. At $2 though, you can definitely afford to experiment with this and see if it works for you!
Do you have a special product you save for super chapped lip days? Or do you have a regular lip balm?
