Favorites of 2013

January 4, 2014

As the year is over, I have some of my favorite products from 2013. Most of these were purchased this year because I tried to pick products that are still new to the market. I don’t usually do monthly favorites because I rotate my makeup so much but here are 7 products I would highly recommend.

1) Lioele Waterdrop BB Cream
This BB cream is amazing! It feels so refreshing on the face and not cakey at all. The coverage is still pretty light but I find it gaves an amazing even canvas.

2) Dinoplatz Guggenosaurus Concealer
I bought this in HK on one of my last days. This has serious coverage and it blends really naturally. I believe it’s a korean brand. And this concealer even has SPF!

3) Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eyepencils
This product has been out for a while but I only started using it this year. I love how creamy and black this eyeliner is. And it glides on the lids beautiful. I enjoy using this for both my upper lash line and my water line! I can’t say that about many other eye liners.

4) Benefit They’re Real Mascara
A cult favorite on the online beauty community. I got this in the birthday gift and I was intimidated by the brush at first. But oh my goodness, this mascara gives insane length and makes me feel like I’m wearing falsies!

5) ELF Glossy Gloss in Ballet Slippers
I realized I should include more affordable options on this list and at $3 this definitely fits the bill. I love how plushy and thick this gloss is. It also smells nice and is once of the first nude lip glosses that actually looks nude on my lips.

6) Bite Lip Pencil in Rhubarb
I recently got this in my Sephora Gimme Some Lips kit. I’ve only used it a couple times but it’s the best MLBB shade ever! There’s no shine to this so it literally looks like your lips but with a better color to it.

7) YSL Rouge Volupte Sheer in #5
One of my biggest splurges this year! But worth every penny. I love the color, the scent, the formula and especially the luxurious packaging!

What are your favorite products of 2013? Have you tried any items on my list?

Here's what I found from Ragtag in Japan!! 🤩🤩
I've definitely had my eye on a Dior piece and it's extra special that this design is a Japan exclusive.
I have to say, second hand designer shopping is a lot harder than I remembered! There are SO many stores now, I probably visited 20+ and the prices are not so cheap anymore 🤧🤧
.
A similar card holder from Dior is probably $600 CAD + tax. I got this one for ~$350 CAD. It's in excellent condition but there was no dust bag nor box.

📍 Ragtag, Shinseibashi, Osaka
We made it on the kyo-train garaku by Hankyu and I We made it on the kyo-train garaku by Hankyu and I'd highly recommend boarding this train if you're transiting between Osaka and Kyoto. ❤️‍🔥🌸
No reservations are required and the fare is just the basic fare (approximately $4!) 🚅
Check online for the most updated timetable but the most current is
9:32, 11:32, 13:32, and 15:32 leaving Osaka for Kyoto!
We showed up 30 minutes before boarding and was the first ones for car 5. Car 3 seems to be the most popular for the cherry blossoms!
Forget your eyeshadow palettes! This little single Forget your eyeshadow palettes! This little single eyeshadow from merit is all I need! 💚
I've been using this a lot on my vacation and it stays on amazingly well all day even with the humidity.
I went for a more unique shade but all the basic browns and neutrals are available too!
.
Would you swap your current eyeshadow for this?
