Product Roundup #2: Mascara Edition

March 2, 2014

I did one of these at least a year ago with my tinted moisturizers but I thought it’d be fun to compare my mascaras.

What I originally said:
“One thing I always wonder when I read beauty blogs is when/where did they buy all the makeup and are they even using it?

So my product roundups will be a collection of items that I’m currently using. As well as information on where I got it, and how close I am to being done the product!”

Mascara Edition

1) Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara

Where did I get it: Sephora VIB Haul
Cost:  The Tarte set was $72
How long have I had it: Since December 2013
How much have I used: 98% I actually have only tried it once

2) Benefit They’re Real Mascara

Where did I get it: Sephora Birthday Gift
Cost: Retails $12 but free
How long have I had it: April 2013
How much have I used: 90% I think I’m almost done with this mascara. Was amazing!

3) Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara- Review

Where did I get it: Off Urban Decay’s Website
Cost: $5, on sale!
How long have I had it: Since summer 2012 but only started using it in September 2013
How much have I used: 40%

4) Maybelline Great Lash Curl

Where did I get it: Target
Cost: $3 USD
How long have I had it: Summer 2012
How much have I used: 5%, I actually haven’t used this very much

5) NYC Big Bold Curl

Where did I get it: Influenster Box
Cost: Approx $4 retail but free
How long have I had it: Since December 2013
How much have I used: 2%, I actually barely used this as well

So it seems like I got good deals for most of these mascaras haha! My favorite is Benefit They’re Real but it’s almost done πŸ™ The other four are all okay but nothing is amazing! On to finding my next favorite mascara!

Any recommendations?

Here's what I found from Ragtag in Japan!! 🀩🀩
I've definitely had my eye on a Dior piece and it's extra special that this design is a Japan exclusive.
I have to say, second hand designer shopping is a lot harder than I remembered! There are SO many stores now, I probably visited 20+ and the prices are not so cheap anymore 🀧🀧
.
A similar card holder from Dior is probably $600 CAD + tax. I got this one for ~$350 CAD. It's in excellent condition but there was no dust bag nor box.

No reservations are required and the fare is just the basic fare (approximately $4!) πŸš…
Check online for the most updated timetable but the most current is
9:32, 11:32, 13:32, and 15:32 leaving Osaka for Kyoto!
We showed up 30 minutes before boarding and was the first ones for car 5. Car 3 seems to be the most popular for the cherry blossoms!

I've been using this a lot on my vacation and it stays on amazingly well all day even with the humidity.
I went for a more unique shade but all the basic browns and neutrals are available too!
.
Would you swap your current eyeshadow for this?
