For the past few years, bronzers seem to always be about contouring. Recently, I wanted to use bronzers again for an all over glow! I usually tan quite a bit, but this summer I’m really pale so I wanted a good sun-kissed glow.
The Buxom bronzers were actually released last year, but I bought mine this spring. The first thing I noticed was the smell! I’m not a fan of coconut but I ADORE this scent! It just smells like a vacation in a box. I got the shade in Tahiti which is a golden tan, but they have another one called Maldives which is slightly darker and more bronzy.
Basics
Shade: Tahiti
Price: $35 CAD
Where to Buy: Sephora
Pros
-Packaging: The compact feels very luxurious and has a large mirror inside. I LOVE the design of the wavy sand on the bronzer too.
-Texture: The texture is very soft and smooth
-Color: The color is quite pigmented when I swatch it. I’ve been using a big kabuki brush to apply it to my face so the color gets more dispersed and not as concentrated but I think it’s just because of my application method.
-Scent: OMG it smells sooo good! It reminds me of vacations in Hawaii and Mexico
-Price: Although expensive, it’s less than most other high end brands
–Ingredients: This bronzer contains coconut oil which is suppose to be hydrating.
Cons
– I really can’t think of any cons. Although the first one I had, it kept on filming over so that I had to scrap off the top layer with a qtip. But I went to Sephora and they were able to exchange it to me
I would really recommend this bronzer if you are looking for something to brighten up and add glow to your face! This wouldn’t really work for contouring because it’s a bit shimmery but it’s so beautiful all over the face.
I just started using Buxom products this year and I think it might be my new favorite brand! I feel like their prices are more fair than other brands and produce quality products like their lip polish! See the review of the Buxom Dolly Lip Polish here.
