Recently I was on a hunt for a good summer foundation as the BB cream I have from Asia is now too light. I picked up the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in Medium as I heard this is a hydrating BB cream that would be good for dry skin. Let’s see how it is!

What I Say
I definitely agree with 8 benefits that Maybelline claims this to have. But you can hardly say it’s 8 benefits since blurs imperfections, evens skin tone, and smoothes do pretty much the same thing. I find this to be a really light weight foundation. It will cover and even out any redness, but if you have any acne to cover up, this probably will not!
I like that it has SPF especially since it’s been so sunny in Vancouver recently. It definitely hydrates my skin and doesn’t flake or crack. I’m not sure how it will be for oily girls, but this is great for dry skin!
The color surprisingly matches me very well but they only do have 5 color choices so the coverage will definitely be sheer to make sure it fits everyone. Overall I love this in the summer because it provides just enough coverage to make me look put together. The lasting power is pretty short but I rub my face all the time…so I’m not the best judge for that.

Pretty good color match, seems like a beige/yellow undertone 🙂

After- Applied to my cheek area
You can see that it blurred out some of the redness and evened out my complexion. I think the lighting changed in between the shots which made my skin look even better. But the BB cream definitely helps to add glow and help me look more polished.
Overall
I would recommend this product to anyone who’s looking for a light weight foundation. It’s definitely more of a tinted moisturizer than a true BB cream. Don’t expect this product to give you the most perfect canvas. But this will be a quick way to even out your skin before heading out into the summer sun!
What are you wearing as foundation in the summer? Have you tried out this Maybelline BB cream?
