Bioderma Hydrabio and Atoderm Skincare

February 21, 2015

Today’s post is all about Bioderma! When I think of Bioderma, I think of the cleansing water (which I still haven’t tried) that took over the beauty community. However, they have quite the range of skincare especially for sensitive and dry skin. I discovered the the Bioderma Hydrabio serume and lotion recently and the two made it in my 2014 Favorites.
I tried out two products from the Hydrabio line which is for dehydrated and sensitive skin and two products from the Atoderm line which is for dry to atopic skin. This is perfect because my skin is always so dry and flaky during the winter.

In the winter time changes in temperatures, overheated rooms, wind and rain can all damage our skin. I usually get really flaky right around my forehead, but since using the serum and the lotion, my skin has been really supple and with elasticity.

Hydrabio Serum 40ml

What they Claim:
-it has an immediate hydrating effect with 15% glycerine + hyaluronic acid
-refreshing and invigorating gel texture
-“Aquagenium” teaches the skin how to moisturize itself again
-provides an excellent make up base

This serum is quite thick in texture but in a good way. Usually the serums I’ve tried are really watery and you end up with a thin layer. But this one has a much more viscous consistency. However after you put it on it’s not greasy at all and I would agree it’s refreshing and invigorating. Packaging says to use alone or before a cream but I find using it alone leaves my skin still tight. There’s a light fragrance which is enjoyable. 5/5

Hydrabio Riche Moisturizing Cream 40ml

What they Claim:
-made for dry to very dry skin
-contains Aquagenium
-restores skin’s suppleness, softness, and radiance

These two products work so well together for me!! This cream is actually thinner in consistency than the serum. It’s surprisingly lightweight considering the heavy duty work it does. When I first used this combo, I noticed a huge difference in the morning because my skin was supple. I’ve been using various oils (Josie Maran Argan Oil, Tarte Maracuja Oil, Boscia Tsbuki Oil) but they do not leave my skin feeling as good as these two combined. I also love that these are in a pump format so it’s more hygenic. 5/5

Next I tried the hand lotion and lip balm from the Atoderm Line.

Atoderm Mains 50mL
What it Claims:
-repairs frail skin, climatic aggression, roughness induced by washing detergent
-regenerates and nourishes
-contains: xylitol, glycerine, vaseline, mineral oil

This hand lotion has a different consistency than what I’m used to. I’ve been using the L’Occitane and the EOS and it’s hard to describe how it’s different. The lotion feels slightly sticky when I first put it on. But after about 30 seconds it gets absorbed. I haven’t noticed any differences in my hands but I like to use it just when my hands are feeling dry after washing. It does an okay job but the bigger packaging makes it hard to toss into your purse. 3/5

Atoderm Levres Moisturising Stick 4g
What it Claims:
-protects, restores, well tolerated, soothes
-contains: vaseline, shea butter, vitamin E

The lip balm has a really nice scent! A bit sweet and fruity at the same time. It feels very soft to the lips and adds a bit of shine. The first ingredient is mineral oil which some people might not be a fan of. But I think there is no actual scientific study that says mineral oil is bad for you?
The one thing I don’t like about the lip balm is that when you twist up, the packaging feels really cheap. It doesn’t have that resistance so the plastic feels loose and floopy. It’s nice to use, but I haven’t found too much difference compared to my cheaper lipbalms such as Nivea. 3.5/5

Overall, the serum and cream are big winners in my books! I’d highly suggest them if you have dry skin like me. You can find Bioderma in Shoppers Drug Mart and Murale in Canada.

Have you tried anything from Bioderma? What’s your go to winter skincare?

Here's what I found from Ragtag in Japan!! 🤩🤩
I've definitely had my eye on a Dior piece and it's extra special that this design is a Japan exclusive.
I have to say, second hand designer shopping is a lot harder than I remembered! There are SO many stores now, I probably visited 20+ and the prices are not so cheap anymore 🤧🤧
.
A similar card holder from Dior is probably $600 CAD + tax. I got this one for ~$350 CAD. It's in excellent condition but there was no dust bag nor box.

No reservations are required and the fare is just the basic fare (approximately $4!) 🚅
Check online for the most updated timetable but the most current is
9:32, 11:32, 13:32, and 15:32 leaving Osaka for Kyoto!
We showed up 30 minutes before boarding and was the first ones for car 5. Car 3 seems to be the most popular for the cherry blossoms!

I've been using this a lot on my vacation and it stays on amazingly well all day even with the humidity.
I went for a more unique shade but all the basic browns and neutrals are available too!

Would you swap your current eyeshadow for this?
