Fun Bright Summer Music Festival Eye Look/Tutorial

Hello friends! With the warm weather upon us and music festivals lining the calendar, I thought I'd share this fun look! This would be perfect for when you want to be a bit more creative and just having fun at music festivals. It is super easy, so read on for my tutorial!

Step 1: Draw a thick wing with a bright blue eyeliner (NYC Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Sky High 936). I first drew the outline of the wing, and then filled it in. You should extend the wing much longer than you normally.

Step 2: Draw a smaller wing with a black liquid liner (Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner in Black Out). The size of this should be approximately the same as what you would do a normal cat eye look.

Step 3: Fill in your lower lash line with a black pencil liner (Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Black) and extend for a second wing. Then use that same bright blue eyeliner and go along the outside of the black eyeliner.

Step 4: Dot on white circles down your forehead using a cream eyeliner (Tarina Tarantino Hyperliner in Broken Doll). I found the color didn't show very well at first so I used an eyeshadow base along my forehead and then used the eyeliner.

Step 5: Finish off with a neutral colored blush, lip stain, and your favorite mascara!

Other Products Used:
NYC Smokin'Hot Showtime Mascara
theBalm Instain Blush in Houndstooth
NARS lip pencil in Rikugien

What do you think of this look? It's definitely not for every day, but I had so much fun creating this!

Spring 2015 - Lavender Lips

One of my favorite things to do when the weather gets warm is to wear fun colored lip products! I really like the look of a purple lip but it's not exactly wearable for every day. That's why I've pulled together three great options for a lavender lip that's totally wearable but fun!

1) MAC Creamsheen Glass in Narcissus- for a glossy, deeper lavender color
This is a beautiful lipgloss that's very pigmented but goes on very glossy. This does have the signature MAC tackiness so that might be a turnoff for some people. The color though is absolutely beautiful and surprisingly wearable! See review here.

2) L'Oreal Caresse Wet Stain in 191 Stubborn Plum- for a light purple weightless stain
I recently picked up this product from Target. I expected it to be a very intense stain but it's actually quite light coverage. On my pigmented lips, it's only a hint of purple. But I can imagine this to be very beautiful on people with less pigmented lips. Also, the texture is amazing and it feels weightless on the lips!

3) MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Asian Flower- for a pigmented, bright and creamy look
I've had this lipstick for a few years now and is always a go to for a fun spring/summer lip product. The texture is creamy and has that very nice MAC vanilla scent. See my review here (bad photography in this 2 year old review, brace yourself)

Saje Natural Wellness Nebulizer- AromaOm

Long time no talk! Sorry for not being able to post regularly, but here today to tell you about a new addiction that's evolved after attending an event at Saje Wellness two weeks ago.

As part of the event, we were able to take home a Nebulizer and a blend of diffusers. This product is suppose to create fresher and healthier air in your home while the different diffusers will also envoke different moods.

"Refresh the air, revitalize your body and mind, and improve your sense of well-being"

A lot of the other bloggers have been using this stuff religiously but this was the first time I learned about it! I've been using it every day since receiving it and really love it! I wanted to share some photos for those of you who's not heard about this before either!

Saje offers quite a few options and the one I picked is their standard nebulizer with black ceramic. I thought the design would fit seamlessly with my room decor which has a lot of black.

It's really easy to use. You just take off the ceramic covering, and the plastic top. Then add water up to where it says "water level"

Then add approx 10 drops of a diffuser blend into the water and cover everything back up!

The machine allows you to let the mist run continously or in intervals. It will even turn off automatically when the water is low so I can use it when I go sleep. The sound level is pretty low and it's relaxing to sleep to.

You can buy the diffusers individually or in sets like this one. Happiness Blend.

The items are on the pricey side but it would be amazing to treat yourself or receive as a gift.
-Nebulizers start at $59.95
-Single diffuser blends start at $14.95
-Diffuser blend kits start at $39.95 (set of 4)

I've been using these daily and love the relaxing effect. Although I still don't know if it actually creates fresher air. My mom even commented saying the house smells amazing. I think it's going to be an expensive new addiction but I'm so glad to have discovered this!

Do you use aromatherapy? What's your favorite scent from Saje diffuser blends?
