The CND Vinylux Aurora collection is inspired by the beauty of the Arctic tundra. There are four shades in this collection that can work together to create the perfect winter nail.
The VINYLUX system is designed to endure a whole week of wear. The technology in these polishes is suppose to increase durability with natural light. They only lasted about 3 days on me until it began to have minor chips. This is pretty normal for me but I was hoping these would last for longer.
Winter Glow– Cream pastel pink, it’s a gorgeous office appropriate nail color.
Tundra– Metallic dusty rose, this brings back the days of Spice Girls.
Nordic Lights– Plum jelly with fine and chunky holographic glitter
Glacial Mist- Icy pale blue with silver shimmer that evokes the beauty of the arctic perfectly!
Swatches
The polishes were all easy to apply and were opaque in 2 coats (3 for Winter Glow depending on how thick your layers are). I think the colors are so perfect for the collection and are a welcomed difference from other “winter” collections which feature deep colors. I think Glacial Mist and Tundra would be really good accent colors if you are doing nail art. My favorite out of the bunch is Nordic Lights as it’s such a unique color. The shimmer in the polish are different sizes and it creates an awesome 3D look.
Nail Art Inspiration
These are some designs that the professionals can create with this collection! They are so drool worthy! But I can’t even begin to attempt any of these. If you are interested in these shades, CND is available at Trade Secrets, Chatters, and salons nationwide.
