Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara Review

January 3, 2016

Hello 2016!! I can’t believe it’s the start of a new year. One of my goals for this year is to review more makeup items. So for each month, I will have a category and 4 reviews will be posted related to a product in that category.
For January, we will be looking at mascara!! I have about 7 tubes of mascara open right now and I need to get around to reviewing and using them up. First up we have the Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara which I listed it in my 2015 Favorites!

Basics

Name: Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara
Shade: Black (1 option only)
Price: $30CAD
Size: 13mL
Find it at Sephora, Stila online, or Shoppers
What Stila claims this mascara will do:

Smudge-proof and long-wearing
Triple-pigments saturate lashes with deep black formula
Formulated with a blend of soft, malleable waxes to keep lashes from feeling clumpy or crunchy
Dense yet flexible wand with crimped fibers that pull lashes up and out

The formula is quite wet so you need to be careful when applying to not blink too much or else it will hit under your eye. The brush is a bit crazy looking when you first take it out. The bristles are not uniformly spaced out and definitely not the same length. Towards the ends, the bristles are longer, and in the middle the wand curves and the bristles are quite short.

Demo

With this mascara you have to remember not to zig zag when you apply or else it will clump. But I can keep building up the layers and my lashes look so long when I wear this! It also stays on all day. Even at 8 hours, my lashes were looking great! I experienced no smudging/flaking when I wear this. If you just use one coat you can get a natural every day look, but it’s also very easy to build up so this mascara is great for all occasions!

Mascara Ratings

Big lashes: 5/5
Blackness: 5/5
No clumping: 4/5
No flaking/smudging: 5/5
Easy to take off: 5/5
Value: 4/5

Overall 28/30    A

Overall I’m a huge fan of this mascara as it creates long full lashes without feeling crunchy! It lasts all day for me and holds my lashes up really well. I would definitely recommend you try this out if you are looking for some drama in your lashes!
