You know summer time is coming when Estée Lauder releases their annual Bronze Goddess collection. This year’s Summer Glow collection contains 6 items to help capture the radiance of the sun. I was sent the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Lip and Cheek Summer Glow ($38 CAD) in Sunburst to try out! The other items include: two new palettes, a luxurious liquid illuminator and cult favorite bronzers.
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Lip and Cheek Summer Glow
The product is dual ended and on one side contains a twist up cream color. The other two shades are more of a pink and red so you would be able to use it on the cheeks and lips. However for this shade, I stuck to using this on my cheekbones as a highlight. It is infused with anti-oxidants and a blend of nourishing oils and emollients that help leave skin and lips feeling soft and moisturized.
Sunburst is a beige highlight with lots of golden undertones. The texture is smooth and creamy. I can easily blend this out with my fingers but since the applicator is relatively small, I can place it exactly where I’d want my highlight and not have to do much blending.
On the other side, there is a high shine lip gloss which can be used on it’s own or on top of the cream color. There is a slight scent which is classic to Estee Lauder lipsticks. The formula is a bit thicker but not that sticky. There is lots of shine in this and surprisingly the gold flecks looks very natural when worn.
Swatches
As you can see, both sides are highly reflective and would add a gorgeous glow. The colors are not the most unique but the quality and formula is good! If you are looking for a travel friendly product in the summer time, this would be a great pick. See the other two shades if you are look for a flush. The three shades are: Fuchsia Lights, Peach Glow and Sunburst.
Highlight used on my cheekbones paired with a bronzey eye look.
Here is the entire collection for 2016. You can find these products beginning March 2016 on Estée Lauder’s website and select Hudson’s Bay, Sears and Sephora Estée Lauder counters,
