My MAC Lipstick Collection Swatch & Review

MAC lipsticks were my first high end lipsticks and I can't believe I've never posted about them. With 197 shades in varying colors and finishes to choose from, MAC lipsticks is truly an artist's playground. I am one product away from Back to MAC which is why I gathered up my current MAC lipsticks to see what new shade I'd want.

Each lipstick retails for $17CAD and contains 3g of product. They all have the sweet vanilla scent that is signature to MAC lipsticks. The pigmentation varies based on the formula but I am happy with the pay off on all of them. To see which colors I own, read on!

Style Curve (Creamsheen LE - Bright clean violet purple)
This is my first MAC lipstick and is still my favorite lipstick in my entire collection. I have a thing with purple lipsticks and when worn, it just looks like a pretty berry shade with a hint of badass. The formula is pigmented and creamy and gives a bit of shine. I love wearing this when going out and need to try to finish it up before it goes bad.

Vegas Volt (Amplified- Brightened orange coral)
Do you remember when coral/orange lips were all the rage? I really wanted to try it out so I went for an amplified formula. This orange is surprisingly wearable and reminds me more of a creamsicle than a pure orange. If you are looking for a bright color for summer, I'd definitely recommend this.

Speed Dial (Creamsheen: Light blue pink)
I bought this when I was on the hunt for the perfect pink lipstick for my pigmented lips. The blue tone is suppose to help your teeth look whiter but I feel like it makes mine look more yellow. And although I searched a long time for this, I feel like the color is still a bit too light and washes me out. I keep wanting to love it but it might just be better for someone with lighter skin.

MAC Viva Glam Nicki (Satin- Bright yellow pink)
All Viva Glam lipsticks help support MAC's AIDS Fund. I actually won this through a contest and selected this shade as I really wanted a bright Viva Glam lipstick. The formula being a satin gives a semi-matte finish and is less forgiving on dry lips. I love how this looked on the internet but unfortunately I think it also washes me out but at least I was helping out a good cause right?

For the best color selection, MAC lipsticks really got you covered. All of them had nice pigmentation, went on smoothly and felt comfortable on the lips. The Satin formula was less forgiving on my lip lines so keep that in mind. Neither the packaging nor the formula is mind blowing though but I'll still continually turn to MAC lipsticks for unique, trendy shades.

I'm on the hunt for my next MAC lipstick, drop me some recommendations and tell me about your favorite!
