Estee Edit The Edgiest Kohl Shadowsticks- Guilt and Frost Bite

June 30, 2016

If you read my last post, I introduced the new Estee Edit collection. Today I’ll be capping off the eyeliner reviews of June with the Edgiest Kohl Shadowsticks from Estee Edit. In addition to just reviewing products, I wanted to provide helpful tips such as what to look for when buying an eyeliner. In this post, I want to show you how a shimmery nude eyeliner can brighten and make your eyes look bigger!

Basics
Name: Estee Edit The Edgiest Kohl Shadowsticks
Shade: 10 shades. I have 02 Frost Bite and 03 Guilt
Price: $26
Amount of Product: 1.4g
Availability: Exclusively at Sephora

Packaging: The product is housed in a slim plastic packaging that twists up. When you open it up, the tip is presharpened but it will get duller as you use it up. The end of each stick has a color coordinated cap so you can easily tell what shade you are picking up. The packaging feels fun and true to Estee Edit’s brand.

Formula: Both of the colors had great pigmentation and lots of shimmer. I’m using this as an “eyeliner” but I think it would be better to use this as an eyeshadow. It tugs slightly on the skin as the formula is not as creamy but this is what gives it’s long last power (see next point). However, the formula is smooth and not patchy at all.

Longevity: I was most impressed by the staying power of these shadowsticks!! I swatched them on the back of my hands and went about my day and it stayed on without budging! These will also last on your eyes for 12 hours easily. You do need a pretty good makeup remover such as a micellar water or cleansing oil but this would be so great to apply all over the lid and not worry about all day.
02 Frost Bite: Gun metal silver with a hint of green.
03 Guilt: Light beige with a peachy shimmer

The look I wanted to do was inspired by Korean makeup. If you’ve ever watched any K-Pop music videos, you’ll notice all the girls have this shimmery bottom liner that really makes the eyes twinkle. See example below.
Guilt is the perfect color to do this as it’s shimmery but not too icy. All I did was smudge it in the inner third of my bottom eyeline. It’s so easy to do and I think it really completes the look! Also side note to smudge out eyeshadow on your bottom lash line to bring the look together.
Before and after comparison
Ratings
Color                 10/10
Creaminess        8/10
No smudging     5/5
Longevity          5/5
Value                8/10
Rating: 36/40 A

Overall I really like these for it’s versatility and longevity. The colors are flattering and would appeal to a large range of people. I used it as an eyeliner but these would be great all over the lids as well. If you are looking for an easy swipe of color that lasts all day, make sure to give these a try!

  • Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day! 🌹

Did you know that Armani makes a perfume and a cologne that's best when worn together?! The perfume is called Because Its You while the cologne pictured here is Stronger With You.
When we first started dating, we both bought the same pair of sneakers! But we never ended up wearing them at the same time haha! This will be a good way to match without anyone knowing!

Do you have any matching pieces with your significant other? 👫
  • My first texture Tuesday!! From left to right: rose cream cleanser, rose caviar essence, rose balm 🏵🏵 I've been testing out the whole pixi rose skin treats collection and review is coming later this week!
  • The cold weather has me dreaming of tropical vacations! 🌴🌴 I absolutely loved Curacao. Theres amazing beaches, infinite infinity pools, the most colorful buildings. The whole island felt so safe to just wander around too!
Where are you going on vacation next?
  • I recently tested out 3 shades of the Physician Formula The Healthy Lips! I think liquid lipsticks are just not for me but these are close!! The shades are very wearable (you can see how they look on me on my blog)

The initial application is velvety smooth just like the name suggests. But I still find the product dries and sinks into my lip lines. Maybe I'm just extra crinkly 🤭

Find these at London Drugs!
  • I'll admit I'm a wimpy west coaster! ❄❄ Was walking outside in -1 yesterday and legit felt like my face was gonna fall off 😆😆😆 Looking forward to more sunshine and warm weather!
  • Too pretty to dig in 😍 Charlotte tilbury is an expensive brand but I love how classy and luxurious their products feel. Not to mention fantastic quality.

Do you have any products from them? I'll be sharing a review at the end of the month!
  • Feeling inspired by the opportunities available on this platform!! 😇 I hope to put more effort in growing my account in 2019!
I'm curious how much time you spend on Instagram each day?? Tell me in the comments!!
  • Which nail is not like the others? 👩‍🎨 #gifted

The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel collection now has a matte top coat! Swipe to see the difference it makes. I love that my nail still feels smooth to the touch and not gritty. It turns 1 polish into 2 different looks! You do not need an UV gel lamp and but I found these took a bit longer to dry than normal polish.
Wearing shade 652 Neblue-la

Thanks for having me in the #sallysquad!
