Burt’s Bees is synonymous with holy grail lip balm for me. I’ve also tried their tinted lip balms and shimmer lip balms and loved them all! They released lip crayons about 2 years ago but this is the first time I’m trying them. The first thing I noticed is that it’s 100% natural which is such an amazing feat.
Packaging: These come in pretty standard lip crayon format with a twist up. But there are a couple of cute details! First each lip crayon has a stripe that corresponds with its color and I also really like the little bee next to 100% natural. The cap is not pictured but it has a cute beehive pattern that gives it a bit more texture and dimension to the plastic clear cap!
Formula: The product contains Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil with Castor Seed oil being the first ingredient. You should definitely take a look at the ingredient list if you are interested in natural products.
The color goes on smoothly and has medium pigmentation. It’s suppose to be a matte lip crayon but it has a bit of a sheen so it doesn’t look flat at all! While it’s not hydrating it doesn’t feel drying either. When worn, the product feels super lightweight and I often forget I have anything on.
Hawaiian Smolder 429: First up is a cool toned pink. I find pinks don’t normally look good on me but I’m quite happy with this one. I think it’s a fun color to brighten up a neutral makeup look! Also the formulation makes the color more wearable every day so I’d say this is totally appropriate for the office and school.
