Teeez Cosmetics is an European beauty brand that recently launched in Canada exclusively at Hudson’s Bay. Ever since I saw the first news releases, I knew I had to get my hands on them. The brand is focused on fashion and innovation and you can see that coming through in the packaging.
It’s currently only available at 7 Hudson’s Bay stores but you can find them online at thebay.com. The pricing ranges between $15-$35 for most makeup items so it’s in line with other mid range brands at Sephora or department stores. Today I have 3 of their lip products to share and I’ve tried all three on for you guys to see!
Eve’s Ready to Wear Lipstick in Rebellious Red- $23- Thebay.com
Can we just look at this packaging?! There’s just so much detail and gorgeousness I can’t even begin! The cap is clear with a ton of decorative details while the inside is a rose gold. This lipstick gives off a rich velvety color while still promising to be hydrating.
With one swipe, you get full color impact! The formula is definitely creamy and it gives off a bit of a sheen on the lips. The color Rebellious Red is a true bright red that will make you stand out in a room. I’m not personally a fan of red lip colors but looking at this photo below, I can see how it adds so much glam especially if I was going to a special event.
There are 15 shades available and I have my sight set on Casual Aubergine which is an eggplant color! I really like this and would recommend it if you are looking for full impact color with lots of moisture.
Desert Sheer Lush Lipstick in Bloodstone Burgundy- $24-ย Thebay.com
If you are not into full impact color, this lipstick might be more your calling. For me, I definitely prefer a light to medium pigmentation lipstick on a day to day basis. I also like products that have a bit of shine. This makes the Desert Sheer Lush lipstick a perfect match for me. I’m not sure why the claim online is “intense color” as “sheer” is in the name of the lipstick. If you are looking for intense color, you will be deeply disappointed. However, if you are looking for an every day lipstick that makes your lips look juicy and nourished, this is it!
Bloodstone Burgundy sounds dangerously deep but it’s such a wearable berry shade. The formula is really creamy and lightweight and very comfortable to wear. There’s also SPF10 so it has a bit of added sun protection. This is going to be a staple for me and a definite must have!
Sealed with A Kiss Lipduo in Naked Almond- $26-ย Thebay.com
This product combines a lipstick and a lip gloss together for you to customize your look. Unfortunately this shade was way too light for me and I didn’t like the way it looked. The lipstick was okay but since it has a matte finish and combined with the light color it emphasized all my lines. It is a very nude peach shade that gives me concealer lips. The lipgloss saves the look with a color that’s a bit darker and adds a bit more color to my face. It’s a very thick formula and although not sticky it feels heavy when worn.
In this photo I think the look is actually half decent. I rarely ever wear a nude lip as my lips are naturally very pigmented. I like the concept of color coordinated lipstick and lip gloss all in one. But since I normally just prefer a shinier finish, I don’t gravitate towards matte lipsticks and therefore wouldn’t need a lipgloss to add shine. Overall this one was a pass for me.
Swatches left to right: Rebellious Red, Bloodstone Burgundy, Naked Almond
I’m in love with the packaging of this brand. It is so unique and fashion forward. The Desert Lush Lipstick in Bloodstone Burgundy is my favorite of the three!! Eve’s Ready to Wear Lipstick in Rebellious Red was also good especially if you love pigmented impact! I would pass on the Sealed with a Kiss in Naked Almond as the color and formula wasn’t for me!
Which look is your favorite?
