Pixi Beauty Now available in Canada!

March 30, 2017

About a month ago, I had the opportunity to attend a release event for Pixi Beauty. I first found out about this brand through reading UK beauty blogs and used to scope them out at Target in the states. Now, they are finally available in Canada at Shoppers Drug Mart!
I have a few items to share from their collection. I haven’t fully tested them out yet and will do separate review posts as I use them more. But I wanted to give an overview of the types of products they have available in Canada.

Book of Beauty – $34

The brand has a couple different versions of these “Book of Beauty” face palettes. I previously had a blush palette which I enjoy. The one I have here is the Contour Creator. There are three matte shades of various shades. Then on top there is a shimmery nude shade, a banana powder shade, and a matte cream highlight. The shades were all easy to blend and I find all 3 contour shades to be wearable! Also the packaging of this is so cute especially if you stand it up like a book.

Endless Silky Eye Pen- $16

This product is one of Pixi Beauty’s best known and award winning products. The Endless silky eye pen comes in a wide array of colors and is meant to give an intense gel look with a pencil liner. The product is very soft and pigmented! It is almost too soft as you need to control how much pressure you put down. As you can see in the swatch below, the color pay off is intense and vibrant! It’s definitely one of the blackest pencil liners I own. The only downside is that I find it difficult to do a precise wing tip. However, I would still highly recommend checking this out if you are interested in bold eyeliners. I’ve done a full review featuring 5 different colors.
Black Lacquer Lash Primer – $20
Lengthy Fiber Mascara- $22

There are four mascaras in their range and I have the primer and the lengthy fiber mascara to try out. I don’t usually like to use a lash primer as I don’t see a difference or really understand what they do. This primer was actually quite black and pigmented and acted the same as a mascara. However, I found my lashes to get quite clumped using this as the brushes are too short and deposited too much product.

The Lengthy Fiber Mascara has one of the most interest wants. I’ve tried a few fiber mascaras but this is the first one where I notice so many long fibers hanging out on the brush. This definitely provides a lengthening effect almost like lash extensions. However, as I wear this throughout the day, I can rub off the fibers which means by the end, my lashes are looking pretty sparse.

Glow Tonic- $38

This is the cult favorite skincare product that everyone swears by! It contains glycolic acid so it’s suppose to resurface and reveal brighter skin. I haven’t tried it yet so I’ll have to report back on the progress.

Vitamin Wakeup Mist- $20

I enjoy makeup mists a lot although I’m never sure if they do anything. This one had a very nice scent and feels so refreshing in the morning or after a full face of makeup. The spray is quite powerful though so it’s not the most fine mist that comes out.
Peel & Polish- $34
Nourishing Sleep Mask- $34
Pixi also has a skintreats line which features a full line up of skincare. Two of the newer releases are the Peel & Polish and the Nourishing Sleep Mask.
The Peel & Polish is a skincare treatment that contains Lactic Acid and Papaya Enzymes to resurface the skin. The Nourishing Sleep Mask jumps on the Asian skincare trend by providing a surge of moisture while you sleep. I am planning on testing out both when I finish up my current skincare. I’ve learned I need to stick to one skincare for at least a month so my skin doesn’t freak out. I’ll definitely report back when I test these out.
Here are a few more Pixi Beauty items that I tried!

–Geltint and Silkgloss – When you can’t decide between color and shine

–Matte Lustre lipstick in Rose Naturelle – the perfect MLBB shade

–Shea Butter Lip Balm – Treat lips while giving them gorgeous colour with this multi-tasking miracle lip balm

–pixi + ITSJUDYTIME Eyeshadow Palette– the only eyeshadow palette you’ll need to create all your favorite looks

Here's what I found from Ragtag in Japan!! 🤩🤩
I've definitely had my eye on a Dior piece and it's extra special that this design is a Japan exclusive.
I have to say, second hand designer shopping is a lot harder than I remembered! There are SO many stores now, I probably visited 20+ and the prices are not so cheap anymore 🤧🤧
.
A similar card holder from Dior is probably $600 CAD + tax. I got this one for ~$350 CAD. It's in excellent condition but there was no dust bag nor box.

No reservations are required and the fare is just the basic fare (approximately $4!) 🚅
Check online for the most updated timetable but the most current is
9:32, 11:32, 13:32, and 15:32 leaving Osaka for Kyoto!
We showed up 30 minutes before boarding and was the first ones for car 5. Car 3 seems to be the most popular for the cherry blossoms!
Forget your eyeshadow palettes! This little single Forget your eyeshadow palettes! This little single eyeshadow from merit is all I need! 💚
I've been using this a lot on my vacation and it stays on amazingly well all day even with the humidity.
I went for a more unique shade but all the basic browns and neutrals are available too!

Would you swap your current eyeshadow for this?
