Quo recently released a bunch of new makeup including the Matte Revolution Foundation. These new items will be part of their permanent core collection and is now available. I realized I haven’t done a foundation review in ages and that’s mostly because I’ve been using up my old ones! It’s perfect timing for me to find my next go to as I just finished up my Urban Decay Naked foundation.
Basics
Name: Quo Matte Revolution Foundation
Shade: 5 Shades
Price: $24
Size: 30mL
Available at Shoppers Drug Mart.
This product is suppose to be a full coverage 2 in 1 foundation and concealer. It’s suppose to give a HD soft-focus and a luminous matte finish. It’s mineral oil and paraben free! Let’s see how it compares to its claims!
Packaging: The product is housed in a clear acrylic container that feels very sturdy. The design is very simplistic, keeping in line with Quo’s branding. I love that it has a pump as I feel this can keep the product “fresh” for longer. You can also see how much of the foundation you have left which is fantastic for those who needs to know when to repurchase, and for people like me who love to pan products.
Shade: There are 5 shades in total so it won’t be able to cover all skin tones. The shade that fits me the best is in shade 2. It’s a beige neutral with a bit of yellow undertone. I’m really glad I was able to find such a good match but unfortunately those with deeper skin tones may be left out.
Shade 1
Formula: I was really impressed by how creamy the product is! I only squirted out a tiny bit of product and it was able to cover a huge amount of surface area. It didn’t dry down to a completely matte finish which I was happy with. However, for my very dry skin, I think I could have still used more glow. I used a stipple brush to apply the product to create a sheer natural look, but it’s definitely buildable if you want complete full coverage.

Lasting Power: The foundation wore okay throughout the day. I find it clings near my dry spots around 4-6 hours so it doesn’t quite last all day. It felt quite weightless and for such a full coverage foundation, the feeling is quite natural. However, I definitely find patches at the end of the day since my skin is so dry so I would probably wear this more for half day events when I want full coverage.

What type of finish and coverage of foundations do you like best?
