How Deep Can You Go? Fall 2017 Lipstick Must Haves

I've been doing Fall lip round up for a couple of years now as I love bold lips and fall is the perfect season for it! This year though, my picks are the deepest, boldest colors I have! The products I picked for this post might not be your every day lip color but I do think these are awesome for going out or a special event! Out of the 5, 3 are from the drugstore so there's definitely a good range of prices in this list to make it accessible to everyone!

NYX Cosmic Metals in Galactic Love

Metallic lips are super trendy this season so I definitely wanted to include a few. This one by NYX is actually a bit more shimmery than metallic but it makes it much more wearable. The shade shows on the lips as a chocolate mocha. The formula is quite creamy and feels hydrating on the lips. It does smudge quite easily though so you'll have to be careful!

If you are not a fan of this shade, there at 18 colors in total! The color selection is quite adventurous so the NYX Cosmic Love lip cream would be great for creative looks.

KISS Matte Liquid Lipstick in Candy Apple

You can't go wrong with a red lip in the winter time and this look amazing against a cream sweater! Kiss New York Professional is a new makeup line that just launched separate from Kiss Products! The finish on this lipstick is extremely matte and although natural lips can't possibly look this red it ends up looking kind of natural. The shade is very vibrant and makes you look put together even if you have minimal makeup on.

It was surprisingly comfortable to wear and the lasting power was impressive!

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Notte

Stila's All Day Liquid Lipsticks are a cult favorite and pack quite a punch of pigmentation and staying power. Notte is a very dark purple red and probably one of the deepest shades I have in my collection. I do find the applicator not precise enough for a shade so deep so a lip liner is a must for this! But even when the color wears off, this will leave a slight stain.

UD Vice Lipstick in Blackmail

Urban Decay came out with Vice lipsticks just a few years ago introducing a HUGE range of colors, 115 to be exact! There are quite a few dark shades but Blackmail is probably the deepest in the range. It is a deep purple that could almost look black with dim light. The packaging is very luxe with "UD" engraved on the top of the lipstick lid. There is a sturdiness to the packaging that I love and make it worth the extra price.

It is a highly rated formula and for such a dark shade and a satin finish, the wear is surprisingly comfortable. It does take quite a bit of work to apply this  and a lip liner would definitely be helpful. It wears quite well unless eating and drinking which I found made the color a bit patchy and a reapplication would be necessary. On camera, this looked a lot lighter with more berry undertone but in real life I thought it was darker and more bold.

L'Oreal Infallible Paints Metallics in Smoldering Eclipse

Lastly, I have another metallic from the new L'Oreal Infallible Paints line up. There is a silver sheen to it but it might not be as metallic as you imagine. This one is more of a true purple and less deep than the two previous options. The formula is quite creamy and great for hiding dry lips. Purple lips may be scary to wear but I actually find them flattering for a lot of people!

NYX Galactic Love, Kiss Candy Apple, Stila Notte, L'Oreal Smoldering Eclipse, UD Blackmail, Bite lipliner

All of the shades here do require a bit of maintenance but they will definitely add a punch to your look. I'll be rotating through these this fall/winter! Which color was your favorite?
