IT Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC Cream in Light Review

October 23, 2017

I first heard about IT Cosmetics from emilynoel on Youtube and I remember driving specifically to Ulta in the States to check them out. Now, they are finally in Sephora in Canada! Today’s review will be on their Your Skin But Better CC Cream which is a best seller for the brand!

Basics
Name: IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream
Shade: 7 Shades
Price: $49
Size: 32mL
Available at Sephora and IT Cosmetics

Packaging: This foundation is in an unconventional format with a pump and a squeeze tube. The packaging feels more like a moisturizer than makeup which is probably what the brand was trying to convey as it has a long list of skincare benefits. I like that the pump helps you use just the right amount of product and keeps it sanitary.
Shade: There are 7 shades available so there is a good but not great range of colors. Mine is surprisingly the 2nd lightest shade and while I thought it wouldn’t be a match, it actually is perfect for me! The shade Light has a neutral/yellow undertone so it’s perfect for Asian skins. I think because of the lighter coverage, the shades can span a bigger variety of skin tones so it can cover most of the population. I also like that you can clearly see some shades are warm, some are cool, and the different colored undertones.
Formula: For some reason, I was expecting a very thick foundation as I remember emilynoel talking about how high coverage this is. However, it’s actually light to medium coverage and can be built up. The formula is quite creamy and feels moisturizing! It’s really good for my dry skin as I find other products can exaggerated dry flaky skin at this time of the year and this one doesn’t! There’s also a light lemon scent to the product which smells so refreshing as you apply.
There is also a long list of skincare benefits including anti-aging. I’ve been using this off and on for about a month and haven’t seen much skincare benefits but I wasn’t really expecting any. I do love though that it includes SPF50 because as much as I know I should wear sunscreen, I hate putting it on in the morning.
Before and after demo. I also applied bronzer/blush in the after.
Foundation Ratings
Shade: 10/10
Coverage: 5/5
Finish: 5/5
Packaging: 4/5
Value: 4/5
Total: 28/30 A

This is an outstanding foundation for what I’m looking for. It adds just the right amount of coverage while still looking very natural. It also helps that Light was the perfect shade match for me! This product would be best for those with dry skin and looking for medium coverage! I know I’ll be wearing this all the way through the winter months!

Here's what I found from Ragtag in Japan!! 🤩🤩
I've definitely had my eye on a Dior piece and it's extra special that this design is a Japan exclusive.
I have to say, second hand designer shopping is a lot harder than I remembered! There are SO many stores now, I probably visited 20+ and the prices are not so cheap anymore 🤧🤧
.
A similar card holder from Dior is probably $600 CAD + tax. I got this one for ~$350 CAD. It's in excellent condition but there was no dust bag nor box.

No reservations are required and the fare is just the basic fare (approximately $4!) 🚅

We showed up 30 minutes before boarding and was the first ones for car 5. Car 3 seems to be the most popular for the cherry blossoms!

I've been using this a lot on my vacation and it stays on amazingly well all day even with the humidity.
I went for a more unique shade but all the basic browns and neutrals are available too!

Would you swap your current eyeshadow for this?
