Murale Fab and Free Event: $350 worth of Free Samples!

February 25, 2018

I rarely make posts like this but I am so excited to tell you about the Murale Fab and Free event this spring! From February 22nd until March 7th, if you spend $125 or more at Murale you’ll receive a tote bag filled with 25 deluxe samples worth over $350!! We all know how expensive makeup/skincare is so $125 isn’t that hard to hit and you’ll get products worth more than double of what you spend! I’ll show you the samples you’ll be receiving if you participate in the Murale Fab and Free event!

The only limiting part about this program is finding a Murale near you. If you live in Vancouver, you’re in luck as you can find in in Oakridge mall. But in other parts of Canada there is one at Don Mills in Toronto, one in West Edmonton Mall, and one in Place ville Marie in Montreal. The other thing to note is that Murale is owned by Shoppers Drug Mart so you can continue to collect Optimum points! And from Feb 24-March 3, you can also get 20x the PC Optimum points when you spend $125+ so you can stack on the deals!

Makeup Samples

Skincare samples are easy to get but makeup deluxe samples are often in the checkout aisles and still costs around $8 for a deluxe travel size. There are 7 makeup samples in the Murale Fab and Free gift bag:

Benefit The POREfessional Pearl Primer – 3mL

Rodial Banana Powder – 2.5g

Paul & Joe Moisturizing Foundation Primer – 10mL

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Baci – 1.5mL

YSL Dessin Du Regard Eye Liner in Black – .8g

Juice Beauty Ultra – Natural Mascara – 3.8g

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer- 7mL

Although some of these look like small sizes, based on the weight it will last you quite a while and give you a good chance to see if it works for you. I’m already familiar with the Paul & Joe Primer, Stila Liquid Lipstick and the Smashbox Primer. But I’m really excited to try some of the other items. I love that there is a nice diversity of brands but wish there was a bit more diversity in the types of products. Although it has to be universally flattering so that’s probably why there are 3 primers as samples.

Fragrance Samples

There are three fragrance samples included:

Narcisco Rodriguez For Her Fleur Musc – 1mL

Clean Fresh Linens – 5mL

Aura Mugler Eau de Parfum – 1.2ml

You can easily get the 1mL samples for free at any department store but the 5mL rollerball sample from Clean is awesome! I’ve tried several other Clean perfumes and really like the unique single notes so you can layer for your personalized scent!

Skincare Samples- Serums

The samples included a large variety of serums. Serums are a really important part of skincare because they can sink in deeper than moisturizers and target a certain problem area. The majority of the serums are related to anti-aging. I’ll be passing a lot of these to my mom who especially loves the Lancome and Estee Lauder ones. I am personally excited to try the Shisedo Glow Revival Serum as well as the Darphin Chamomile Elixir. Once again, I feel like although the packaging looks small, most of these are between 5mL- 10mL and would likely last me a month of use!

Skincare Samples- Other

There are a few other skincare samples and some other miscellaneous products. The Art of Shaving Shaving Cream smells great! The St.Tropez Gradual Tan lotion is a huge sample size at 50mL and great for this time of the year. There are three cleansers: Clinique, Eve Lom, and Bioderma. Lastly there’s a night cream by Immunocologie and a hydration mask by Clarins.

I’m really impressed by the brands and sizes of the samples included in this tote bag! Lots of these will be also be perfect for traveling! I like that almost everything will give you enough product to test for a long period of time so you can actually determine if it is effective or not. I would say it bag leans heavily towards anti-aging serums though so if you are interested in trying out different skincare products, this is a free gift with purchase you don’t want to miss out on!

No reservations are required and the fare is just the basic fare (approximately $4!) πŸš…
Check online for the most updated timetable but the most current is
9:32, 11:32, 13:32, and 15:32 leaving Osaka for Kyoto!
We showed up 30 minutes before boarding and was the first ones for car 5. Car 3 seems to be the most popular for the cherry blossoms!

I've been using this a lot on my vacation and it stays on amazingly well all day even with the humidity.
I went for a more unique shade but all the basic browns and neutrals are available too!

Would you swap your current eyeshadow for this?

1. BUYING TICKETS 🎟 - Tickets are about $30 CAD each and you can purchase online directly. I'd recommend buying one month in advance to secure the 9am time slot!

2. WEAR A DRESS, if you want πŸ‘—- there's warning that the mirrors will reflect and your undergarments would show 🀭 but unless someone's standing right on top of you, it won't be visible. I wore shorts to avoid this but I think a skirt or dress would have been totally fine.

3. GO EARLY πŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ - I know, oldest tip in the book but it took us almost an hour to get there from shinjuku. We arrived at 850am for 9am entry and there was already a huge line. We got in around 930am.

4. READ THE PLAQUES πŸ“œ - either before or after the exhibits, there are plaques that explain the exhibit. Although teamlab is amazing for photos, it adds a layer of depth if you understand what the exhibit is trying to convey. A lot of the interactive artwork shows the connection of humans and the environment we live in. It's super interesting!!
