After the long rainy winter, I’m always so excited to transition to spring. For today I picked a few of my favorite new cheek products for spring from both the drugstore and more high end options! I find cheek products are so pretty to look at and shimmery blushes and highlighters just get me in the mood for spring!
pixi + Aspyn Ovard Glow-y Powder in Rome Rose
pixi products are often in collaboration with large Youtubers and this one is made with Aspyn Ovard. The packaging is not particularly convenient as you have to twist off the top. But the blush is a beautiful rosy pink with pretty gold reflective shimmers. I thought this shade would be perfect to brighten up your face for spring and pixi is still new to the Canadian market!
Maybelline Chrome Metallic Highlighter in Molten Rose Gold
New for spring, Maybelline released the Molten Rose Gold shade to add to their range. I actually reviewed the original Molten Gold highlighter a few months ago and wasn’t a huge fan. But I saw that everyone else liked it and figured I might have gotten a dud. The Molten Rose Gold shade had a completely different formulation than the Molten Gold highlighter I had. One swipe and it’s full metallic glowy goodness. I especially like rose gold as well so this highlighter is a huge hit for me and I’m glad I gave it a second chance!
Hard Candy Fox in a Box Blushes
At one point in my life, I wanted to collect all the Benefit boxed blushes. I never ended up doing that but at Hard Candy‘s affordable price range, you CAN collect all the Fox in a Box blushes and highlighters! The products also all have different scents like strawberry, pina colada, and sweet peach! The packaging is adorable and these would be so nice to display on a vanity or counter top! The shade I’ve been testing out is Uptown Girl. In the pan it looks like a coral pink with blue veins through it. But when applied, it is a very light coral and best for someone with a lighter skin tone. I have three other shades as well so I’m planning on doing a separate blog post on it!
NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette
If you have trouble deciding what color you want to wear or like more of a variety, the NYX Sweet Cheeks palette is your best bet! There are 8 different shades in here with the first 2 on the top left being more of a highlighter product. The shades are really pigmented so you need to use a light hand when applying these. But I love that each shade is actually different as I find sometimes with blush palettes that the shades are the same. My favorite shades are the 2nd and 3rd from the top row. I’ll definitely be packing this for longer vacations when I want options, and it can even double as an eyeshadow palette!
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blusher
$50 Available at Charlotte Tilbury, Nordstrom, and Holt Renfrew
I’m still pretty new to the Charlotte Tilbury brand but every item exudes luxury. These Cheek to Chic blushers are so beautiful in the pan and has an outer shade that you swish across cheekbones, and then you pop the middle shade onto the apples of the the cheek. I actually use this technique sometimes myself with two separate products but love that the shades are already coordinated for you. Love Glow features a nude coral pink on the outside and a bright pink in the middle. I don’t like using pink shades on my cheeks but right on the apples of my cheeks is good for bringing in a bit more color so this is perfect! IT Cosmetics Ombre Radiance Blush in Sugar Plum
$32 at It Cosmetics and Sephora
I love how this blush looks in the pan and it was one of my top picks for new cheek products for spring! Although this product isn’t particularly new, it Cosmetics is new to Canada! I have really been loving their products and this blush is no exception. I like to use the darker shade almost close to where I contour and then blend upwards, then I use the top part to highlight. It was meant to be a blush and highlighter and I love that this one product can beautifully achieve a full cheek look! A full review of this is also available so I can show you how it looks when worn!
Lancome Dual Finish Highlighter in Radiant Rose Gold
$53 Available at Sephora and Lancome
I actually bought this product last fall and loved it but then put it away for the winter. I’m so excited to bring this cheek product out for spring! The texture is so creamy and blends like a dream into the skin. The reflective rose gold color is also to die for. I really like highlighters that have more color as it blends into the blush better and is less jarring. I’ll link my full review so you can see how it performs when worn!
So there are my picks for the best drugstore and high end new cheek products for spring! Let me know which of these caught your eye and if you’d like to see a full review of any of them!
