The third brow product that I’ve been testing out recently is the Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow Gel. I’ve gotten pretty good at doing my makeup in 10 minutes but I’d always be interested in products that will save me time. The Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow Gel claims to last up to 2 days and it’s waterproof, smudge proof, and transfer proof.

I’ve been really enjoying Maybelline products recently! I loved the Gigi Hadid x Maybelline collection and the new Master Chrome metallic highlighter. Usually my makeup look is pretty natural but I was intrigued to see if I can make my brow makeup last 2 days.
Packaging
The Maybelline Tatto Studio Brow Gel comes in a tube that looks like a lip balm. The applicator has a small tip and lots of small feathery spikes to disburse the product. There is also a spoolie included with the product which is very useful. But it doesn’t attach anywhere and I feel like it can easily get lost.ย I like that the applicator is small as it’s easier to control and get a more precise application.
To use the product, I brushed on the product on to my brow hairs. To avoid uneven patches of color, I tried to stay off of my brow skin. Therefore, this product is better if you already have full and decently shaped brows. I don’t think it would be very easy to create shapes with this product as the color doesn’t disburse as evenly on to the skin. The Maybelline Tattoo Studio Brow Gel works more like a mascara in the sense that it makes your brows thicker and deeper colored. The spoolie worked really well and is essential in creating a finished look.
Demo
The photo above is before and the photo below is after. The photos are taken a little bit apart so I did have some brow hairs grow out and make it look messier in the after photo. As you can see, the brow hairs look thicker and I have a lot more color towards the end. I had to clean up the application with a Q-tip and the spoolie as it was still a bit uneven when using just the attached applicator. It easily lasted the full two days but I avoided the eye brow area when I was washing my face. I didn’t feel like the product smudged or would transfer to clothes.
I really like the idea of a brow product that lasts for 2 days as it minimizes the getting ready time. The mascara style tube makes it a lot easier to control the amount of product as compared to the twist up style in the Revlon Colorstay Brow Mousse. But because it’s more suited to enhance your natural brow hairs, it doesn’t allow you to shape or define your brows. This product definitely is long lasting and would be good for someone who already has nice shaped brows. For me, I liked THEFACESHOP Designing Brow Pencil the best after testing out these 3 brow products. Although it’s not as long lasting, it’s really quick to create a natural defined brow look.
So that wraps up this quick 3 review series on brow products. Let me know what your favorite products are or any really good tutorials!
