Since Pixi launched in Canada last year, I’ve written quite a few review posts and fallen in love with several of their products. There are still lots of products in the brand to try and today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen. These products are suppose to give an intense gel look but in pencil format.
Basics
Name: Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen
Shades: 22 Shades
Price: $16
Size: 1.2g
Available at your Shoppers Drug Mart or Pixi online
As background, I usually use a felt tip black eyeliner on a daily basis. I tend to draw a pretty thin line with a small flick. I used to use actual pencil format eyeliners for quite a bit though so these feel like going back to my roots.
Packaging
The Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen liners are in simple pencil form. There is a plastic lid that stays on relatively securely. There is no twist up mechanism so you’ll have to physically sharpen the pencil in a sharpener. I like that the body of the liner are color coordinated to what the pencil color actually is. So if you have lots of them, it’s easy to pick up the correct shade. At the same time, the classic Pixi green is at the end so it looks uniform.
Formula
If you judge an eyeliner by how smooth it is, you will love this! Each of the pencils glide on the skin like gel! It is extremely pigmented, smooth, and soft! The color payoff is intense and vibrant! But you do need to be careful with a formula like this as it smudges easier! You’ll definitely need to let it dry down for a minute before you put additional shadows on top or move your eyes around too much. It stays on well on my lids but not so much on my lashline. I think because it is so creamy, it is easy to be wiped away. Also, I wasn’t a big fan of using it along my lashline as you need to keep sharpening it to make the edge thin enough to be exact.
Shades
There are 22 shades to choose from and I have 5 of them. Black is the true black shade and Matte Mulberry is a brown with lots of red undertone. Then, I have 3 colorful shades. Velvet Violet is a super pretty light purple, Black Blue is an indigo and Rose Glow is a beautiful reflective champagne shade with a touch of rose gold.

Ratings
Color: 10/10
No Smudging: 8/10
Longevity: 8/10
Precision: 6/10
Value: 8/10
Rating: 40/50 B
In this photo, I used Black along my upper lash line. I had to dot it on as it was hard to drag across the lash line in a thin enough line so there are some empty spots in between. I used Rose Glow in the middle of the lid as the final touch and I love the reflective quality it has. It really made my look pop!
In general, I found these pencils best to be used to fill in a larger space instead of along the lashlines. Therefore it’s best for those who do creative looks as the color range is fantastic and the pigmentation is vibrant. True to it’s name, these pencils are extremely silky and smooth! I found it harder to use on the lash line as the tip is quite round and blunt and also it does not stay on all day.
I’ll be working on some creative looks with these Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen liners, let me know if there’s a shade in particular you’d like to see!
