Just released in September 2018, Miu Miu Fleur D’Argent is a perfect winter time floral perfume.ย I used to only love light fresh citrus scents, but I think my scent buds have recently matured. Warm, musky scents are starting to make me feel sophisticated and it’s perfect for the colder weather.

The Miu Miu Perfume Family
Unlike many designer brands with countless fragrance releases, the Fleur D’Argent is only Miu Miu’s 4th perfume. If you like exploring a whole range of a brand, it is doable with Miu Miu’s concise collection. The Miu Miu Fleur D’Argent perfume is created to be more sensual and feminine than the other 3. Their previous creations focused on capturing youthfulness in a bottle with fresh florals and sparkling notes. As the free spirited sister to the proper Prada family, even this sophisticated scent is fun and not stuffy.
Packaging
The Miu Miu Fleur D’Argent bottle is very similar in shape to the other perfumes in the brand. The art deco style lid has a pastel pink circle above a nicely weighted gold topper. Around the nozzle is a white ring with “miu miu” across the front in the brand’s iconic font. I love that the nozzle produces a wide fine mist. The actual bottle itself is silver, hence the “D’argent” with a clear glass outer covering. The color combination feels feminine and sophisticated but still fun and fresh.
Scent
The official notes per Fragrantica: Tuberose, Akigalawood, and Musk
If you’re a casual perfume user like me, you might have no idea what tuberose or akigalawood smells like. So I’ll try to explain it in every day terms what this fragrance smells like to me. First off, this is a floral perfume with no sweetness. Therefore it gives a very clean scent that allows the flowers to really shine through.
Next, it is a white floral scent. If you’re not sure what that smells like, think of a rose and that’s what it doesn’t smell like. It reminds me of Jasmine and even a hint of jasmine tea. There is a nice warm base which must be the Akigalawood.
I find that in a few hours the scent wears a bit sharp. I definitely prefer the initial smell which feels like I’m being bathed in flower petals. Overall, I really enjoy the scent because it’s not sweet, it has a pure floral scent, and it has a warmness to it that can counteract the cold weather for the next few months.
