I’m pretty lucky that falling asleep is usually not a problem for me. But I definitely have some nights when I toss and turn. For those looking for a natural sleep solution, I’m doing a comparison on the different thisworks pillow sprays. These sprays are meant to help you fall asleep and get a more restful sleep. Currently they have 3 different options and I was a bit confused on which one to use, so hopefully this comparison is helpful!
What is Thisworks Pillow Sprays?
I first tried out products from This Works last year and enjoyed their Sleep Plus Pillow Spray andย No Wrinkles Moisture Cream. They are a skin and body brand from the UK that focuses on getting you the best sleep which results in healthy skin. Luckily, Sephora is very on top of things and select products from thisworks are available at Sephora Canada. One of the core products from thisworks is their pillow spray. Formulated with a calming blend of Lavender, Vetiver, and Chamomille, these sprays are clinical proven to help you sleep!
Choosing the right spray may be difficult though because they have 3 different varieties to choose from! Last year I tried the Sleep Plus+ Pillow Spray. Sleep Plus was developed to help restore sleep patterns for restless sleepers. The calming scent is naturally encapsulated to gradually release over eight hours. This is actually the more intense version of the original but is the first one I tried from the brand.
Deep Sleep Pillow Spray
This year, I was sent the original Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. The biggest difference between this and the Sleep Plus spray is the concentration. The Sleep Plus Pillow Spray actually has 3 times the concentration as the Deep Sleep. Price wise, there is a difference as well with the Deep Sleep being $14 cheaper.
If you’re not concentrated on finding a difference between the two, the scent might smell identical to you. But I sprayed these both several times to compare and notice the Deep Sleep definitely has a lighter scent. I actually like this one as the Sleep Plus sometimes feels a bit musty. The spray nozzle is just as good and provides a nice blanket of fine mist.
Sleep Power Nap Spray
While the other pillow sprays are targeted for overnights, try thisworks Sleep Power Nap Spray if you’re looking for a quick pick me up. The packaging for this product is a lot more luxurious than the other two. Instead of a plastic bottle, the Sleep Power Nap Spray is in a round glass bottle with a gold colored nozzle spray. The price is the same as Sleep Plus but only contains 50mL of product instead of 75mL, making this the most expensive option.
The surface area that this covers seems slightly smaller than the other two sprays. The scent though is the same calming Lavender, Vetivert and Camomile. Unfortunately I don’t get the luxury of taking naps very often. I tend to push through and sleep earlier than napping. So I don’t have a review based on how it works when I nap. I have used this overnight though and it still works fine! Similar to the other sprays, it provided a relaxing before bed experience but I can’t really say it helped me sleep better or not.
So What’s the Difference?
So to summarize the three sprays and how you should use them:
Deep Sleep Pillow Spray $34- This is the original and best for everyday use
Sleep Plus Pillow Spray $48 – This version has 3 times the concentration of Deep Sleep so is best for when you need an extra long or extra deep sleep
Sleep Power Nap Spray $50 – If you are lucky enough to take a nap during the work day, this is for you. The spray helps you to fall asleep fast and also feel more energized
For me, I thought the scent of all 3 were the same except that Sleep Plus is more concentrated and has more of a musty smell. They all provide me with a really relaxing smell and makes getting ready for bed feel like a spa experience. Due to the price difference, I would suggest the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. I don’t think they function differently and I can’t empirically say they helped me sleep better. But I do enjoy the experience and scent a lot! So if you have trouble sleeping, this is a natural solution to try and maybe the placebo effect will be enough!
Sleep Power Recharge Mask
Along with the Sleep Power Nap Spray, you can find the corresponding Sleep Power Recharge Mask. I was really intrigued by this mask mostly because of the format it comes in! Most facial masks come in a jar but this is a squeeze tub with a brush attached! Not only that, the product squeezes through the middle of the brush!
I have to say I enjoyed this product a lot more than I thought I would. My least favorite part about the face mask process is washing my hands and fingernails after applying the product. The attached brush actually worked really well to apply a thin layer over the face. The product looks to be a charcoal clay blend with a greyish tinge. The formula smells of the same relaxing blend and I really feel like I get transported to a spay when I use this.
The mask rinses off pretty easy and my skin feels clean and supple after use! This is probably my favorite product from thisworks so far. I just really love how relaxing the product is both from a scent and application perspective!
