Summer is a great time to switch up your perfumes as you slip on your sundresses! I don’t wear one signature scent throughout the year. Instead, I prefer to switch things up as the weather changes. I love fresh citrus scents and also enjoy bouquets of flowers. So whether you like a rich aura of flowers or just some light rose petals, there’s a perfume for you! Today, I will be sharing a few new designer floral perfumes for summer that I’ve been recently testing!
Lancome La Vie Est Belle En Rose
The Lancome La Vie Est Belle is a hugely popular collection with 19 different variations already. Often, Lancome will release limited edition versions for the holiday season. En Rose, released in February 2019, is a fresher, more floral version of the original. Focusing the floral scent on rose (as per the name), it is balanced by some sweet fruits. It smells like a fresh floral but it’s not the most unique scent out in the market.
In addition to rose, I also pick up on peony! I find the fruity and floral scents fade pretty fast and I am left with a clean fresh scent for the rest of the day. The bottle is so cute with a pink neck tie on the bottle that trumpets Parisian vibes. It’s not a unique scent though so it may smell similar to something you already know!
The 100mL bottle retails for $132 CAD.

Burberry Her Eau de Parfum
I actually got my hands on the Burberry Her perfume back around Christmas. I definitely remember thinking at the time that it would be a nice light summer scent. This perfume is meant to capture the spirit of London and for me that means being adventurous but also sophisticated.
The floral heart is topped by a fruity berry scent that makes it light and fun to wear. This is not a pure floral perfume but has a good mix between fruity and floral. The berry fruit scent makes this a very unique smell and not like anything I’ve tried within the designer fragrance space. There is also a new version called Burberry Her Blossom which has an even stronger emphasis on the floral nose.
The 50mL bottle retails for $107 CAD.

Oscar de la Renta Bella Rosa
This is my first time trying anything from Oscar de la Renta, the name that I associate with glamorous night gowns! The fashion designer did not disappoint with this ornate bottle covered with 3D flower petals. I would describe Bella Rosa as a fresh light floral scent with rose and jasmine.
To start, it has a bit of the sweet fruity opening similar to Lancome La Vie Est Belle En Rose. But it also has a hint of pepper which gives a bit of a spice to the nose. The bright beginning faded pretty fast though leaving a muted clean scent. In general, it is a pretty common scent as well but the spice does add uniqueness and something different to this scent.
The 100mL bottle retails for $112 CAD.

Miu Miu Fleur D’Argent
For a different type of floral perfume, try Miu Miu Fleur D’Argent. I find most floral perfumes focus on rose, peony, or lily. However, this perfume is totally different and reminds me of white flowers like jasmine. It has a very unique scent that is purely floral with no sweetness. Most of the other designer fragrances above have a similar sweet fruity floral scent, but this one is very different. I’ve done a full review of this perfume earlier in the year so be sure to check out the link.
The 50mL bottle retails for $115 CAD.

Out of the four, my favorite is the Miu Miu Fleur D’Argent because it’s a pure floral scent with no sweetness! I also really love Burberry Her as it’s a unique berry forward scent. Make sure you check out all of the other perfumes I’ve been trying out recently.
