Lather up! It’s shorts season and time for those legs to get some air! I am notoriously bad for not moisturizing my body. Although I realized recently how important it is to take care of the skin on our body! I try to use moisturize more frequently although I haven’t been able to do it daily. I found some fantastic new body lotions though and it’s been motivating me to use it more frequently! Today I’ll be sharing 5 options that I’ve been enjoying for my skin.
Woodlot Nourishing Body Lotion
The product that inspired me to do this post is the Woodlot Nourishing Body Lotion. If the name Woodlot sounds familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen their candles before. But this year, they ventured into personal care and released a collection of skin and body products. The brand is based in Vancouver and this body lotion is made in Vancouver as well! There’s currently three different scents and flora features lavender, bergamot, cedar, and sweet orange. This combines for a natural, woody citrus smell!
This body lotion has the thinnest consistency out of all my options here. It’s perfect to rehydrate throughout the day as I find it a bit difficult to rub into the skin if it is damp (aka right after a shower). The ingredient list is super impressive with lots of natural oils and extracts.

Fresh Hesperides Grapefruit Body Lotion
I have long enjoyed fresh skincare and lip balms (they do the best holiday gift sets)! But this body lotion is my first foray into body products by fresh. The formula is on the thinner side and spreads into the skin very easily. The only downside is that the ingredient list includes quite a number of chemical compounds which I find to be true for many fresh products.
In the summer time, I love a fresh citrus scent and the smell of this is exactly up my alley! It has a tantalizing grapefruit scent with not too much sweetness. If you like this scent, there is also a shower gel, soap and hand cream in the collection! So you can smell like a delicious citrus drink from head to toe.

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter
I remember seeing Soap & Glory from UK Beauty Bloggers way back when I started blogging about 8 years ago! It wasn’t available in Canada back then and I so wanted to try the body products from the brand! Now, you can find Soap & Glory at Shoppers Drug Mart so I’m excited to share the Righteous Butter.
The “Original Pink” scent is a strong fruity citrus with a good dose of sweet. As a body butter, you can expect it to be thicker. But an interesting feel of this is that when you’re rubbing it into the skin, it almost has a mousse texture. The lotion absorbs very easily. If you like a strong scent, you’ll enjoy this product!

Kiehls Creme de Corps
If you are not looking for any frills and just want a powerhouse body lotion, I’d highly recommend the Kiehls Creme de Corps. I did a previous post where I tested out all of the Kiehls best sellers and this is one item that really stuck out to me.
There is almost no scent to this product other than a savory nutty note. The packaging and color is also quite bland. But this formulation is really effective at rehydrating and making the skin feel healthy again! Especially if you’ve been at the beach or pool, this will give your skin much need hydration.

Thisworks Perfect Legs Skin Miracle
As a bonus product in this post, I wanted to share a new product for summer 2019 – thisworks perfect legs skin miracle. I really enjoy several products by thisworks although sometimes it may seem gimmicky. But the scents are usually very relaxing and natural.
So this is the first I’ve heard of a serum for legs but it kind of makes sense as it’s skin too. There’s a tint to this that adds a more golden tan to my legs and makes it look a bit smoother. Since it’s a serum, it has a light liquidy texture. But it does help to hydrate the skin especially if it’s feeling dry.
