Filorga is a new brand to me but they are quickly gaining accessibility. The brand was recently bought by Colgate and I’m already seeing it on the shelves of Nordstrom. It is also available in Canada through Shoppers Drug Mart. Today I’ll be reviewing the 3 products in the Filorga Oxygen Glow Skincare collection!
Oxygen – Glow
The keystone product in the collection is the Oxygen-glow super-perfecting radiance cream! This face cream comes in the typical Filorga square packaging but with a girly pink color. From the outside, the texture almost looks like a shimmery eyeshadow.
I absolutely adore the scent of this cream. It’s not particularly fruit or sweet, but a beautiful luxury skincare fragrance. The cream is on the thicker side and needs a bit of massaging to spread on the skin. However, there is so much of this illuminating ingredient that I can visibly see on my finger tips after applying. The instructions say to apply morning and evening to clean skin. But I would only want to use this during the day time.
The illuminating ingredient definitely helps with an immediate radiance. But I don’t really like knowing I’m putting this type of stuff on my skin especially if I’m going to sleep. My skin also feels tight sometimes if I didn’t use enough product.
Oxygen – Glow [Mask]
The mask in this collection is an express treatment that only takes 10 minutes to make a difference. Along with the other products, it helps to boost radiance in dull skin. It comes in a cute squeezy tube with the iredescient pink finish. The one thing I don’t like about the packaging is that there’s no instructions on the product. You would have to save the box if you need to refer to it again.
To use, spread a thick layer all over your skin and leave on for 10 minutes. You can use it 1 – 3 times a week. You can clearly see a reflective sheen with lavender colored light reflectors. It goes on very smoothly with your fingertips or with a brush. The scent is sooo heavenly and gives off a nice relaxation effect while you leave it on for 10 minutes.
During that time, the mask will dry down a bit and tighten on the skin. I found it easy to remove with a cotton pad but harder with just finger tips. My skin definitely looks brighter and skin tone was nice and even. But the thing I didn’t like is that the “shimmer” or light reflectors feels like it’s clogging up my skin. There’s areas around my nose where I just don’t feel it that smooth. I love when I use my Drunk Elephant TLC serum and my skin feels so clean and smooth. With this collection and especially the mask, I feel like some of these shimmers are left on the skin. Which is great for radiance but not so great for smooth texture.
Oxygen-Glow [Eyes]
I definitely neglect my eyes in my skincare routine so I have been trying to pay particular attention to this area. The Filorga Oxygen-Glow eye cream comes in a cute 15mL container with a precise applicator tip. I really enjoy the texture of this cream. It’s a medium consistency but really easy to spread and sinks in easily.
However, just like the other two products, there’s a lot of reflective shimmery bits in the formula. I just don’t feel comfortable using this around the eye area especially as I only use eye cream at night time.
Unfortunately this collection was a bit of a flop for me. These products really did work well to instantly brighten the skin and provide a beautiful glow. But I did not feel the hydration effect, and it is too much shimmer for a night cream, mask and eye cream.
