I’ve always had straight black hair that refuses to be colored by box dye. But recently I finally got some beautiful light brown shades put into my hair. So I started researching the best hair care products to use to protect my colored hair! I’ve seen Klorane’s dry shampoo and was impressed by their natural hair care range. I’ve been using these 4 products for a few months now so take a read to find out some new favorites.
Shampoo with Pomegranate
The Pomegranate range from Klorane is created for Color-Treated hair. The gentle, sulfate-free system helps bind color to the hair to prevent fading! I had my hair colored about 3 months ago now at Suki’s Hair Salon. I’ve been using this system ever since and I’d say my color is still looking very fresh!
This shampoo lathers up more than any other shampoo I’ve ever tried! I only need a small amount to fully cover my head. The consistency is on the liquidy side and it has a fruity scent more similar to strawberries than pomegranate! I really enjoyed this shampoo as it does a good job cleansing my scalp and hair. But it never feels stripping when I rinse it out. I also love how foamy it gets and my whole head is covered in a big lather.

Conditioner with Pomegranate
Similarly, the conditioner also uses pomegranate extract to help lock in color pigment. The formulation also provides keratin and hair fiber repair. I find this conditioner great for detangling right in the shower! My hair feels ultra smooth and I love the light buttery texture of this product.
I’ve actually been using both these products consistently for about 3 months now! When I first started using it, my hair was noticeably softer to the touch once it dried. I’ve gotten used to the softness now but I specifically remember making a note of that to put in the review! I only have a few favorite hair products and this shampoo and conditioner is now one of them!

Leave in Spray with Flax Fiber
I’m not sure if it’s because my hair is too heavy and long, but my biggest hair style concern is getting more volume on the top of my head! This is a volume and texture spray that has really great reviews online but it only results in a minimal increase of volume for me.
In the bottle, the texture is a gel liquid. But the nozzle creates a fine mist when sprayed over the hair. It actually deposits quite a bit of product so if you are using it on dry hair, expect the hair to get quite damp again. There is a bit of grit kind of like a texturing hair product and I do feel like I get a tiny bit more volume when I work in the product with my finger tips. But it probably works better for “fine, limp hair” as described in the bottle. I think my hair is too heavy for this product to lift up.
$18 for 125mL bottle. Available on Klorane
Klorane Dry Shampoo
Lastly, I’ve been trying out the Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk. This is one of their best sellers and flagship products. Dry shampoos doesn’t usually work for me and I find my hair feels even dirtier after I use it. While not perfect, the Klorane dry shampoo is one of the best dry shampoos I’ve tried.
This is a really fresh and light dry shampoo! While it claims to increase volume and texturize the hair, I find it quite refreshing and doesn’t leave too much particles. The gentle scent gets rid of any oily odours especially after a light work out. I find this works better when my hair is not too greasy yet. Once it is visibly greasy, this can’t save me!
