I’ve had really good experience so far with It Cosmetics products. Since their launch in Canada a few years ago, I had the pleasure to discover some new favorites (you have to check out their CC cream and Superhero eyeliner). I recently received the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Bronzer to test out!
Name: It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Bronzer
Shade: 1 Shade
Available at Sephora and It Cosmetics online
The It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Bronzer comes in a standard sized cheek compact. The packaging is a bit deeper than most as it has an extra compartment on the bottom that houses this small bronzer brush. The bristles are a nice quality but I still prefer using a large powder brush if I can. The inside of the compact has a mirror for easy application on the go. It Cosmetics usually has pretty simple packaging and I like the contrast of the black rubber top with the copper plastic bottom.
There is only one shade available for this product. It would work best for light to medium skin tones. There’s no visible shimmer or glitter in the shade. I didn’t look up this product when I received it and assumed it would be a contouring bronzer as it’s matte.
However, it’s actually a spin off of the original It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Powder but with a bronzy glow. The proper way to use this product is like a finishing powder. I watched their online video and it is applied all over the face for a sun kissed look. But the shade is a bit light on me so I struggled to see the product on my skin.
First off, this bronzer smells so good! They infused it with a coconut smell and it reminds me of a beach vacation! However, it’s meant to be used as an all over color which I did not realize until I did more research. I’m not 100% sure about the bye bye pores claim though because I wouldn’t put bronzers around where my pores actually are. The powder does look very smooth on the skin though so that is a plus.
The important thing to know about this product is that it’s not a traditional contouring or shimmery bronzer. It’s more of a bronze colored pressed powder that’s used all over the face. The best way to apply is to do a figure 3 on each side of the face using a large powder brush to create a healthy glowing look. If you are interested in a more pigmented bronzer, I like the It Cosmetics Ombre Radiance Bronzer instead.
