Belif Aqua Bomb Deep Hydration Set Review

September 9, 2020

I am a huge fan of value sets at Sephora as it’s a great chance to try out different products for a lower price. Plus, who can really finish a beauty product anyways?! Today, I’ll be sharing my review of the Belif Aqua Bomb Deep Hydration set. This kit retails for $50 ($72 value) and includes 4 products for a moisturizing routine that will hydrate skin and provide a radiant glow!

The packaging is super cute with an underwater theme. There’s graphics of scuba divers, kelp, and ocean waves. I’ve been using these products for about a month now this summer, so let’s get on with my thoughts!

Belif Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser – 30mL

I usually take off my makeup using micellar water or cleansing oils, but a jelly cleanser is perfect for daily use in the shower! The Belif Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser has a unique texture that really does feel like jelly. It’s gentle on the skin but I feel it thoroughly cleanses away any dirt or impurities. But the best part is the smell! It’s fruity and relaxing at the same time!

I don’t use it over my eyes to remove eye makeup. But in general, it does not sting my eyes when I’m rinsing off the product. My skin is pretty dry though so I do still get the tight feeling after I step out of the shower and need to moisturize right away.

Belif Aqua Bomb Hydrating Toner – 20mL

The purpose of a toner is to remove any traces of the cleanser that was left behind and also to prep the pH of the skin for further skincare steps. I don’t use toners on a daily basis. I thought this one smelled really nice and added a nice immediate layer of hydration. The product contains Baobab extract to help the skin retain moisture but I’m not sure if I can notice a difference.

Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb – 5mL

Included in this skincare set is the Belief Moisturizing Eye Bomb. It is a medium weight moisturizer that aims to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. I don’t really worry about eye wrinkles yet and have not included eye creams as a daily routine. It feels instantly refreshingly which is great if you ever have puffy eyes. A little goes a long way with this product and a sample 5mL set is perfect for me.

Belif The True Cream – Aqua Bomb – 50mL

The full size product in this set is the Belif The True Cream. I’ve been using this moisturizer every day for about a month now and it’s amazing! It has a lightweight gel-cream texture and absorbs into the skin so easily. I also love the smell, it’s a perfect follow up to the Jelly Cleanser. My skin looked hydrated and calm when I used this moisturizer!

Now that the weather is starting to get colder and dryer, I can feel that the lightweight hydration might not be enough (see my top picks for hydrating serums). But if you have dry skin this is perfect for summer time! If you have normal skin, you can probably use this year round.

This set is really great value as you get everything you need for a basic skincare routine for only $50CAD! The brand is priced on the lower end of department store skincare and I can see the appeal to the younger crowd! My favorite products were the Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser and The True Cream – Aqua Bomb. But I highly recommend getting the set as it’s a chance to try out 4 products for the price of one (the full size moisturizer is $50 on its own)!
