Bright Lipstick Collection and Declutter

September 29, 2020

Back in 2018, I declutter my red lipsticks and nude lipsticks. I left my bright lipsticks untouched as I actually haven’t really used them much in the last few years. Today I’ve gathered up my bright lipstick collection and will show you what I keep and what I give away! If you like these posts, make sure to check out all of my makeup collection posts, I recently put out my highlighter collection a few weeks ago!

YSL Lipsticks

YSL lip products are my favorites along with Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks. I have quite a few of them and have in depth reviews for each if you want to see more swatches and learn more about the formula!

Left to Right: YSL Slim Sheer Matte Lipsticks in 103 and 109; YSL Volupte Plump In Colour in 5 and 2, YSL Liquid Color Balm in 7

YSL Slim Sheer Matte Lipsticks in 103 and 109: I love both of these shades and just reviewed them in a recent post. The formula and color are both heavenly! Super wearable but also bright and fun.

YSL Volupte Plump In Colour in 2 (decluttered) and 5: These are the prettiest YSL lipsticks to look at as they have a heart core through the lipstick tube. However, the formula isn’t my favorite as it’s a bit too tingly. I’ve already decluttered one shade and I’m getting rid of #2 (the pink one on the right) this time around.

YSL Liquid Color Balm in 7: I really like this for a simple wash of color. Although the name says balm, it’s much more like a pigmented lip gloss. The formula is nice and the packaging is so pretty too!

Revlon Lipsticks

I didn’t realize I had so many Revlon lip products in various formulas!

Revlon Ultra HD Vinyl Lip Polish in Rule the World, Berry Blissed, and Power Up (decluttered): I love this formula! I reviewed the whole collection last year and these are so shiny! I’m getting rid of the coral color though as the shade is too light for me.

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color in Obsession (decluttered): This is actually brand new! But since I don’t like matte lip products, I will give this to a friend.

Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint in Pink IRL (decluttered) and High End Coral (decluttered): Both of these shades are actually really pretty but I have an issue with the applicator. It’s a sponge tip and while I love the muted effect the applicator is so large that it goes way outside my lip lines.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Cherries in the Snow: This lipstick is brand new to me but first impressions are great and I want to test this out.

High End Lipsticks

From Left to Right: Sulwhasoo in Sweet Pink; Flower Pink; Lancome in 110 Graphic Orange; Clinique in Punch Pop; The Face Shop in Merry Pink

Sulwhasoo Essential Lip Serum Stick in Sweet Pink (decluttered) and Flower Pink : These are the most expensive lipsticks I own at a whooping $50 each! The lipstick leaves a sheer wash of color and nice hydration. But I’m getting rid of Sweet Pink as it’s just too pale and not that flattering.

Lancome L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in 110 Graphic Orange: If you need a show stopping orange, this is it! Definitely keeping this in my bright lipstick collection as it’s the most vibrant shade I have and makes my teeth look pearly white.

Clinique Pop Lip Colour in Punch Pop: Here’s a lipstick I just reviewed a few weeks ago. It’s a wearable berry pink and I like the glossy finish.

The Face Shop Collagen Ampoule Lipstick in Merry Pink: I’m not sure if this formula is even still available. But it’s one of the most vibrant colors I have in my collection so I thought I’d save it.

Miscellaneous

Lastly, I have some one offs in my collection of various brands and formats.

Too Faced Comfort Lip Glaze in Plum Crazy: I reviewed the Too Faced Tutti Frutti collection back in 2018. Honestly, I’ll probably never wear this shade out in public but it’s so unique and I want to keep it for any makeup looks.

Laura Mercier Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick in Chicas (Declutter): The color is a beautiful vibrant orange but it accentuates dry lips too much.

Mary Kay Lip Tint in Canyon Coral: Really unique felt tip with a liquid formula. It smells like plums.

Shu Uemura x Super Mario Bros Tint in Balm Lip Color in Fire Flower: I had originally included this in my red lips declutter but it’s more of a vibrant coral. Love this glossy finish and bright color.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Milan: I don’t normally like liquid lipsticks but this does not dry out my lips. I’ll use this if I need a color to stay on all night.

Clinique Pop Splash Lip Gloss in Watermelon Pop: I just started using it this summer in conjunction with the Clinique Pop Lip in Punch Pop. It’s a pretty deep fuschia.

Bright Lipstick Collection

Decluttered: 7

Kept: 15

Okay so the ratio wasn’t so great in this declutter but I am proud of getting rid of some high-end lipsticks because they’re just not working for me. Looking at the collection I have left, I can see that I enjoy deeper pinks, and vibrant oranges. I’ll have to do this again based on color family instead of formulas!

Hope you enjoyed reading this and let me know what you want to see decluttered from my collection next!

Hellllooo fall! 🍂🍁 In just a few weeks, the Hellllooo fall! 🍂🍁

In just a few weeks, the leaves are going to be golden red at Trout Lake!! 🤩😍. What are your favorite fall foliage spots in Vancouver?
Editing this post made MY MOUTH WATER!! 🤤🤤 Editing this post made MY MOUTH WATER!! 🤤🤤

Here are the best things I ate in Japan - restaraunt edition! (do you want to see one for snacks? or do you want to see a worst things I ate in Japan?)
Prices of the specific dish listed below.

1. Kanoko, try their special green tea infused soba or normal soba. I loved the dashi and tempura. Perfect lunch option for after visiting the tori gates. 1,300 Yen 🍜

2. Okonomiyaki Sakaba, you can pick the inside filling and a lot of the options were meat based. The sauce on top is delicious and you may be surprised the inside is mostly cabbage and not flour. 1,000 Yen🍥

3. Udon Bo Osaka, I tried out a cold dipping udon and it was excellent! They have a special yuzu sauce and the tempura is amazing too. 1,250 Yen 🍤

4. Roast Beef Ohno, the most affordable way to eat wagyu! Loved the sauces and nice side veggie dishes too. 1,750 Yen 🥓

5. Fuunji, flavorful dipping ramen with a vending machine to order! 1,400 (with egg + bamboo add on)🍱

6. Maguro Koya, holy crap I'm addicted to Ootoro now. So glad we splurged and got the double portion. We also tried the chutoro sashimi to compare cuts. 3,200 Yen 🍣

Hope this provides some delicious inspo for the best food in Japan!
Here's what I found from Ragtag in Japan!! 🤩🤩
I've definitely had my eye on a Dior piece and it's extra special that this design is a Japan exclusive.
I have to say, second hand designer shopping is a lot harder than I remembered! There are SO many stores now, I probably visited 20+ and the prices are not so cheap anymore 🤧🤧
.
A similar card holder from Dior is probably $600 CAD + tax. I got this one for ~$350 CAD. It's in excellent condition but there was no dust bag nor box.

📍 Ragtag, Shinseibashi, Osaka
