The Guerlain Meteorites Pearl Dust Palette come in a silver round palette with a pretty floral motif on top. There is a magnetic opening that closes very securely without a clasp. The first thing I noticed when I opened up the product is the intoxicating smell. It’s a really beautiful floral scent that adds to the luxurious experience. If you’ve ever seen the original Guerlain Meteorites, it is the same scent.
The top half of the palette opens up to a large mirror which is very handy. Then the 3 shades on the bottom are in separate pans with a Guerlain logo in the middle.
Formula

What makes the Guerlain Meteorites Pearl Dust Palette special is that it is enriched with pearl extracts. The light reflecting micro pearls provide a subtle glow which actually looks different than any other highlighter I’ve tried.
Another claim of the product is the skincare benefits of pearl extracts. With each use, the pearl extracts are suppose to help with more luminous skin. However, I’m not totally on board with this as I have not noticed any changes in terms of my skin texture. It also wouldn’t really make sense as I don’t want a strip of skin above my cheekbones to be more smooth and glowy than the rest of my face.
In terms of the texture, all 3 powders are soft and smooth to the touch. It swatches very evenly and there is no glitter in the formula. I usually use a large eyeshadow brush to apply this to the top of my cheekbones. With just one layer, I find it is enough intensity for an every day glow. Something in the formula really helps to reflect the light on your skin and it looks very natural and beautiful. The highlight shows up on camera as well and I”m very pleased with how it looks.
Swatches

There are 3 shades in this palette: Pearly Gold, Pearly Pink, and Pearly Amber. This actually covers off almost all the shades of highlighters that you would need. Pearly Pink is cool toned while the other two are warmer. I usually don’t like cool toned highlighters but I’ve tried all 3 shades and they are all flattering on my skin.
Guerlain suggests that this product can be used as an eyeshadow or blush as well. I tried all three shades as eyeshadow and I find Pearly Pink looks best as a pop of reflection on the center of the lid. As a blush, Pearly Gold gave off an editorial vibe while Pearly Amber had a softer look that can be quite wearable! I agree that these products can serve multiple purposes as blush or eyeshadow.
Demo

Here are two photos of me wearing Pearly Gold from the Guerlain Meteorites Pearl Dust Palette. The light hits the highlighter in the first photo so it is much more noticeable. Then in the second photo, you can see how natural it looks. The other two shades behave the same way in catching the light at certain angles. Pearly Pink gives off a cool toned light pink color while Pearly Amber is a rose gold color.

I took a mark off for value as it is still insanely expensive! But the quality is perfect and you would only need this one highlighter to cover a wide range of makeup looks!
