Most Popular Posts of 2020

December 29, 2020

What a year this has been! The world has been dealing with a pandemic unlike anything we’ve seen in our life time. I posted a bit less frequently this year on the blog compared to the past but really focused on the quality. As the year is wrapping up, I wanted to put together the most popular posts of 2020 based on Google Analytics data!

10. YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Stain Review

One of my favorite liquid lipsticks over the years is the YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Stain. This shade is really pretty and is quite the statement pop of color. I wore it a lot in 2018 but I’ve been loving some other YSL lipsticks recently.

9. Gucci Marmont Small Matelasse Purse Review

This purse is so special to me as it’s my first ever designer purse! I wrote the blog post after using it for one year. Check out what I thought about the Gucci Marmont Small Matelasse Purse. I talked about the durability, fit, style and value! This purse has been very trendy so I’m not surprised that it’s part of my most popular posts this year.

8. Saint Laurent Fragment Zipped Card Case Review

Here is another post I wrote in 2018 on a luxury good! The Saint Laurent Fragmented Zipped Card Case is super durable and I wrote this post after a year of use. It’s a really practical wallet especially if you’re trying to be minimalistic.

7. Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Boost Skincare Review

I am quite surprised at with where this ranked in my most popular posts of 2020! These were the first Nuxe products I’ve tried and the brand is not that well known. The idea of the collection really resonated with me as it was all about fighting the stress and pollution of every day life. However, I was only wowed by one of the products.

6. Lancome Skin Feels Good Foundation

I’m quite proud of myself for this post. I like the photos I took and the close up demo which clearly shows my skin textures and also how the foundation looks. The Lancome Skin Feels Good foundation was one of my favorites for a while, so take a read of the review.

5. Clarins Joli Blush

Here’s another post that surprised me. I’ve only reviewed a handful of Clarins products but the Clarins Joli Blush always garners a lot of page views. I quite like the photos I took for this post and I also did a before and after on my cheeks that is hopefully helpful!

4. Giorgio Armani Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow

My first chance encounter with Armani makeup was in 2019 (so many years after starting this blog), and since then I’ve found many favorites. I usually don’t like liquid eyeshadows but the Armani Eye Tint was very easy to use. I swatched 4 of the shades and demo-ed two on my eyes!

3. Biotherm Life Plankton Elixir

I really love the Biotherm Life Plankton Elixir! I’ve used up about 75% of my bottle and really saw a difference in the first few weeks. I had some left over pigmentation due to acne and this serum helped the dark spots fade.

2. Revlon Candid Collection

I’ve been loving Revlon makeup in the past few years and here are some top picks for lip products if you’re in the market. The Revlon Candid Collection targets the busy millennial and plays up the Instagram craze while offering anti-pollution protection to a natural flawless base. I quite enjoyed this foundation and concealer and I provided a thorough review and close up demo shots of the products.

1. Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blushes

The top post of the year goes to my review of the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blushes! This has been my most viewed post for the 3rd year now! I now have 5 shades and this is still a go to blush for me over the years! I’m not sure why this ranks so well on Google Search but hopefully I can crack the code and replicate it for my other posts.

Hope you enjoyed this round up and found it interesting to see what are my most popular posts for 2020!

Hellllooo fall! 🍂🍁 In just a few weeks, the Hellllooo fall! 🍂🍁

In just a few weeks, the leaves are going to be golden red at Trout Lake!! 🤩😍. What are your favorite fall foliage spots in Vancouver?
Editing this post made MY MOUTH WATER!! 🤤🤤 Editing this post made MY MOUTH WATER!! 🤤🤤

Here are the best things I ate in Japan - restaraunt edition! (do you want to see one for snacks? or do you want to see a worst things I ate in Japan?)
Prices of the specific dish listed below.

1. Kanoko, try their special green tea infused soba or normal soba. I loved the dashi and tempura. Perfect lunch option for after visiting the tori gates. 1,300 Yen 🍜

2. Okonomiyaki Sakaba, you can pick the inside filling and a lot of the options were meat based. The sauce on top is delicious and you may be surprised the inside is mostly cabbage and not flour. 1,000 Yen🍥

3. Udon Bo Osaka, I tried out a cold dipping udon and it was excellent! They have a special yuzu sauce and the tempura is amazing too. 1,250 Yen 🍤

4. Roast Beef Ohno, the most affordable way to eat wagyu! Loved the sauces and nice side veggie dishes too. 1,750 Yen 🥓

5. Fuunji, flavorful dipping ramen with a vending machine to order! 1,400 (with egg + bamboo add on)🍱

6. Maguro Koya, holy crap I'm addicted to Ootoro now. So glad we splurged and got the double portion. We also tried the chutoro sashimi to compare cuts. 3,200 Yen 🍣

Hope this provides some delicious inspo for the best food in Japan!
Here's what I found from Ragtag in Japan!! 🤩🤩
I've definitely had my eye on a Dior piece and it's extra special that this design is a Japan exclusive.
I have to say, second hand designer shopping is a lot harder than I remembered! There are SO many stores now, I probably visited 20+ and the prices are not so cheap anymore 🤧🤧
.
A similar card holder from Dior is probably $600 CAD + tax. I got this one for ~$350 CAD. It's in excellent condition but there was no dust bag nor box.

📍 Ragtag, Shinseibashi, Osaka
