Best Highlighters 2021: Drugstore and Highend

March 1, 2021

One of my favorite things to do is to organize my makeup collection! Last year, I went through my highlighter collection to declutter and today I want to share with you a list of the best highlighters! I’ve included high end and drugstore options as you should glow no matter what your budget is!

NYX Away We Glow Highlighter

Best For: A duo chrome finish, portability, drug store price

The only liquid highlighter on my list is the NYX Away We Glow Highlighter. This is an unassuming little product that really packs a punch! There is a duochrome cast to this that gives kind of an ethereal glow. The shade Liquid Prism has a pearly pink sheen and I find this format really portable for travel and touch up.

Maybelline Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in Rose Gold

Best For: A solid powder highlight option from the drugstore

I find rose gold highlighters to be very flattering on the skin and this Maybelline highlighter is a great pick from the drugstore! The formula is super soft and picks up easily on a makeup brush. There’s a bit of pink and the gold will peek through when your cheeks hit the light.

Guerlain Meteorites Pearl Dust Palette

Best For: A lit from within glow

I just received this highlighter a few months ago so it didn’t even make it to my highlighter collection post. At a hefty $80, this is a piece of art to look at and use. The Guerlain Meterorites pearls are a cult classic and this is a powder version of that product. I’m pretty sure I gasped the first time I used this product as the glow was so angelic and natural. All 3 shades are flattering on my skin tone and I find it looks beautiful in person and on camera.

Clinique Flower Pop

Best For: Looking pretty on your vanity and a subtle glow

Another new addition for me is the Clinique Flower Pop highlighter. Clinique packaging is usually pretty simple but I”m obsessed with the pretty embossed detail of this highlighter. The flower pop range of Clinique blushes is very popular and I like that they expanded into highlighters. The formula is silky smooth and provides a soft luminous glow.

Lancome Dual Finish Highlighter

Best For: In your face glow

I clearly love rose gold highlighters as here is another one! The Lancome Dual Finish Highlighter has been one of my favorite highlighters for years! I even hit pan on this! This one is more bold and metallic and a great pick if you want a stronger highlight that will bring out your cheekbones.

Hellllooo fall! 🍂🍁 In just a few weeks, the Hellllooo fall! 🍂🍁

In just a few weeks, the leaves are going to be golden red at Trout Lake!! 🤩😍. What are your favorite fall foliage spots in Vancouver?
Editing this post made MY MOUTH WATER!! 🤤🤤 Editing this post made MY MOUTH WATER!! 🤤🤤

Here are the best things I ate in Japan - restaraunt edition! (do you want to see one for snacks? or do you want to see a worst things I ate in Japan?)
Prices of the specific dish listed below.

1. Kanoko, try their special green tea infused soba or normal soba. I loved the dashi and tempura. Perfect lunch option for after visiting the tori gates. 1,300 Yen 🍜

2. Okonomiyaki Sakaba, you can pick the inside filling and a lot of the options were meat based. The sauce on top is delicious and you may be surprised the inside is mostly cabbage and not flour. 1,000 Yen🍥

3. Udon Bo Osaka, I tried out a cold dipping udon and it was excellent! They have a special yuzu sauce and the tempura is amazing too. 1,250 Yen 🍤

4. Roast Beef Ohno, the most affordable way to eat wagyu! Loved the sauces and nice side veggie dishes too. 1,750 Yen 🥓

5. Fuunji, flavorful dipping ramen with a vending machine to order! 1,400 (with egg + bamboo add on)🍱

6. Maguro Koya, holy crap I'm addicted to Ootoro now. So glad we splurged and got the double portion. We also tried the chutoro sashimi to compare cuts. 3,200 Yen 🍣

Hope this provides some delicious inspo for the best food in Japan!
Here's what I found from Ragtag in Japan!! 🤩🤩
I've definitely had my eye on a Dior piece and it's extra special that this design is a Japan exclusive.
I have to say, second hand designer shopping is a lot harder than I remembered! There are SO many stores now, I probably visited 20+ and the prices are not so cheap anymore 🤧🤧
.
A similar card holder from Dior is probably $600 CAD + tax. I got this one for ~$350 CAD. It's in excellent condition but there was no dust bag nor box.
