If you browse for new blush releases, you’ll notice that all the new launches are cream or liquid. This type of texture melts into the skin and provides a flawless natural look. However, it’s usually more difficult to apply and that’s usually the roadblock for me. But I’ve been playing around with the Pixi On the Glow Blush and it’s got to be one of my favorite cream blushes yet!

Basics
Name: Pixi On-the-Glow Blush Tinted Moisture Stick
Shade: 3 shades
Size: 19g
Price: $24 CAD
Available at Shoppers Drug Mart and on Pixi online

Fleur – a light baby pink with purple undertone
The Pixi On-the-glow blush is in a unique packaging that looks more like a snack than a beauty product. I really like when the outside packaging correspond with the shade inside so it’s super easy to pick out from my collection. The top lid pops off and you twist the bottom to get the product up and down. There’s no skimping on the product here as there’s 19g of blush for you to enjoy!

Juicy – True orange coral, I love these shades for summer!
I usually equate cream blushes to professional makeup artists as it’s often more difficult to apply than swirling a brush in a powder blush. A lot of times, the products are very pigmented and you need to work quickly to blend out the color. I’m blown away by how fool-proof the formula is for this product! I simply swipe the blush on my cheeks directly from the tube. Then I simply use one finger to dab out the edges and work it in my skin in a circular motion.

Ruby – Cherry red with a blue undertone
Another thing that sets the Pixi On-the-Glow Blush apart is the finish. I’m really into a natural look and these blushes provide a pretty glossy sheen on the cheeks. There’s no stickiness and it did not pull away the liquid foundation I used underneath. I love that Pixi also tried to incorporate skincare ingredients into these makeup products. Although the effects will probably be minimal as the ingredients are at the end of the list, it includes ginseng, aloe vera and fruit extracts.

I gravitate towards orange and coral shades for blushes, so Juicy is definitely my favorite out of the 3. Although the product name is blush, these can be used on the lips as well. I love that this little stick can be popped in the purse and you can touch up your cheeks and your lips with one product. If you’ve always wanted to give cream blushes a try but have been intimidated by the application, the Pixi On-the-Glow Blush is a great product that’ll be hard to mess up. I’m very impressed by how easy this is to use and the glossy summer glow that it gives me!
