Decorate Your Home with Photowall

June 13, 2023

I love looking at interior design photos and magazines, but when it comes to decorating my own home, I procrastinate like my life depends on it. I moved last year and I still have empty spots on my walls. Luckily, I recently discovered Photowall and they make it easy and affordable to make your space design magazine worthy.

Photowall is an online retailer that specializes in wall papers, posters and canvas prints. There are countless designs for you to choose from so you can fill your space based on your interests and color palettes. I also really love that there is a huge variety of sizing options so the item is customized and fits perfectly in your space. With wall papers, Photowall actually prints it to your exact measurement specifications so you don’t need to deal with any wastage.

Shipping Time

I was super impressed by the shipping time and the way the items were packaged. I ordered a set of wallpaper and also a canvas print and they arrived in about a week from Sweden. Considering shipping takes a solid week even within Canada, I was definitely impressed. The items were also packaged to protect from any damages and both items arrived in pristine condition.

Picking a Design from Photowall

I’ll be honest, it took me a few days to finalize my decision. There were so many beautiful designs to choose from!

I chose a canvas print from Photowall to elevate my living space. Most of my wall decoration are posters in frames and I thought a canvas print would bring a more sophisticated and elevated feel. I originally bought the Forest Swamp canvas print to hang by the dining table like in the stock photo but I’ve since moved it to the bedroom and love it there! You can see the wonderful quality in these close up shots.

The photos below are a before and after of my bedroom by the dresser. It’s incredible how much of a difference one painting makes! What do you think of the change?

For the wall paper, I wanted to update my office/beauty room. I work from home and spend a lot of time in this office. When I bought this house, the walls were a light dusty pink and I’ve always wanted to repaint it white but haven’t gotten to it. I’m hoping wall papers will be an easy way to brighten up the space. The vibe I wanted was feminine but also modern. My top two contenders were Marble Breeze and Wild Bouquet. I will keep you guys posted on that process!

Thanks Photowall for the collaboration!

I've been using this a lot on my vacation and it stays on amazingly well all day even with the humidity.
I went for a more unique shade but all the basic browns and neutrals are available too!

Would you swap your current eyeshadow for this?

1. BUYING TICKETS 🎟 - Tickets are about $30 CAD each and you can purchase online directly. I'd recommend buying one month in advance to secure the 9am time slot!

2. WEAR A DRESS, if you want πŸ‘—- there's warning that the mirrors will reflect and your undergarments would show 🀭 but unless someone's standing right on top of you, it won't be visible. I wore shorts to avoid this but I think a skirt or dress would have been totally fine.

3. GO EARLY πŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ - I know, oldest tip in the book but it took us almost an hour to get there from shinjuku. We arrived at 850am for 9am entry and there was already a huge line. We got in around 930am.

4. READ THE PLAQUES πŸ“œ - either before or after the exhibits, there are plaques that explain the exhibit. Although teamlab is amazing for photos, it adds a layer of depth if you understand what the exhibit is trying to convey. A lot of the interactive artwork shows the connection of humans and the environment we live in. It's super interesting!!
