Sabai Thai Metrotown Review

June 19, 2023

I love getting massages and if I won the lottery, I’d get a massage very week! Honestly, I love treating myself to a good pamper session but spas are expensive. Sabai Thai is a Vancouver chain of spas that offers Thai and traditional massages at an affordable price! I’ve been to Sabai Thai a few times personally already before this collaboration and always really enjoyed my experience. This time, I went for their Pure Serenity Spa package with my boyfriend.

I also have a special promo code for you to read till the end!

New Sabai Thai Location – Metrotown

As a local chain, there are 6 Sabai Thai locations and the one I went to was by Metrotown. It’s not located in the actual Metrotown actual mall but on the north side of Kingsway. The con is that there is only paid street parking nearby and it’s $3 per hour!!

While the storefront was not particularly noteworthy, when I opened the door I was blown away. I loved the lobby area with the brown wooden walls and soft cream couches. All the decor was super new and stylish and I was instantly feeling relaxed. There are plenty of massage rooms in this location so you’ll likely find a time slot that works for you.

Pure Serenity Package at Sabai Thai

After checking in and filling in the intake form with my goals and preferences, we were led to the couples massage room. The bedding was super comfy which was great. The massage was very relaxing and focused more on long strokes rather than any pressure points. This is a really nice change of pace from RMT sessions which are more solution based. I circled my back, arms, and calves as areas to focus on and I felt my masseus did a great job on all of those areas.

We started off on my stomach and then switched over to my back. Once the massage was over, we did a customized facial which is part of the Pure Serenity package. Since I had eye makeup on and eyelash extensions, I skipped the Eye-Brightening Treatment. Instead, I probably had a longer facial instead. This facial had a heavy focus on massages which I enjoyed but wasn’t expecting. My normal facials usually consists of cleanser, extraction, some type of mask, and then finished off with serum. However, this facial was toner, cleanser, exfoliant, massage with cream, cleanser again, toner, cream. Even with no extraction, I walked away with really glowing smooth skin.

The Pure Serenity package also includes a signature foot massage. However, I think it may have been done as part of the all over body massage. My feet were massaged but I didn’t realize it was a specific treatment as it happened throughout the massage. My whole session lasted 90 minutes so I think it’s just a matter of what you choose to spend your time on.

Pricing

You can pick from a la carte massages at Sabai Thai or one of their spa packages. You can often find promotions on their website and they’ll have really great discounted prices on different services. As someone who likes good value, you’ll want to get the voucher which offers the Pure Serenity package for $169 instead of the regular $299 price. A regular 90 minute massage is normally $225 and it’s currently on sale for $139.

You can also use this special Sabai Thai promo code ANGELA5 to get an extra 5% off! (Valid on all promos except RMT and the $119 Body Bliss Spa Package)

Hellllooo fall! 🍂🍁 In just a few weeks, the Hellllooo fall! 🍂🍁

In just a few weeks, the leaves are going to be golden red at Trout Lake!! 🤩😍. What are your favorite fall foliage spots in Vancouver?
Editing this post made MY MOUTH WATER!! 🤤🤤 Editing this post made MY MOUTH WATER!! 🤤🤤

Here are the best things I ate in Japan - restaraunt edition! (do you want to see one for snacks? or do you want to see a worst things I ate in Japan?)
Prices of the specific dish listed below.

1. Kanoko, try their special green tea infused soba or normal soba. I loved the dashi and tempura. Perfect lunch option for after visiting the tori gates. 1,300 Yen 🍜

2. Okonomiyaki Sakaba, you can pick the inside filling and a lot of the options were meat based. The sauce on top is delicious and you may be surprised the inside is mostly cabbage and not flour. 1,000 Yen🍥

3. Udon Bo Osaka, I tried out a cold dipping udon and it was excellent! They have a special yuzu sauce and the tempura is amazing too. 1,250 Yen 🍤

4. Roast Beef Ohno, the most affordable way to eat wagyu! Loved the sauces and nice side veggie dishes too. 1,750 Yen 🥓

5. Fuunji, flavorful dipping ramen with a vending machine to order! 1,400 (with egg + bamboo add on)🍱

6. Maguro Koya, holy crap I'm addicted to Ootoro now. So glad we splurged and got the double portion. We also tried the chutoro sashimi to compare cuts. 3,200 Yen 🍣

Hope this provides some delicious inspo for the best food in Japan!
Here's what I found from Ragtag in Japan!! 🤩🤩
I've definitely had my eye on a Dior piece and it's extra special that this design is a Japan exclusive.
I have to say, second hand designer shopping is a lot harder than I remembered! There are SO many stores now, I probably visited 20+ and the prices are not so cheap anymore 🤧🤧
.
A similar card holder from Dior is probably $600 CAD + tax. I got this one for ~$350 CAD. It's in excellent condition but there was no dust bag nor box.
