Boscia Bright Stars Kit Review

March 22, 2014

Today’s post will be about the Boscia Bright Stars Kit from Sephora. I picked up this set for $54 as I wanted to try some new skin care products.

There were 8 products in total which makes it approximately $7 for each deluxe sample size. I think it’s a bit expensive but overall a great way to try out a new brand!
Makeup Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil 50mL
5/5
I LOVE this product! It’s such a unique formula. It’s an oil that completely cleans off your makeup including eyeliner and mascara and it has this cushiony effect that I’ve never felt before. I would definitely recommend checking this out if you want a cleanser that takes off everything.
Purifying Cleansing Gel 150mL
5/5
I also love this one as well! My favorite part is that it’s sulfate free and doesn’t irritate my eyes at all. This has a nice natural scent and foams up nicely. And it’s really easy to use since you can wash your entire face but still be able to open your eyes and not have it sting!

Bottom: Purifying Cleansing Gel
Look how pretty the packaging is!
Self-Defense Vital Antioxidant Moisture SPF 15mL
1/5
This is the one product I really didn’t enjoy in this set. The moisturizer is too thin for my liking and I have dry skin so this doesn’t quench my skin. Also the SPF or something in this lotion leaves behind this really dry feeling. So after using this my skin always flakes. Maybe good for oil skin looking for SPF but this was not good for my dry skin.
Super Charge Overnight Moisture 15mL
4/5
As you can see, I used a lot more of this as I would use it day and night. This is a medium consistency lotion and absorbs really fast. I love the light green tea scent and it does moisturize quite well. I wouldn’t say it’s typical of an “overnight” super charge lotion though but it’s good for daily use.
Enlivening Amino Acid Eye Treatment 7mL
3/5
This was a nice serum. It felt luxurious and soothing to apply but I noticed no difference. I was hoping it would lighten my dark circles but nope. Although I don’t really believe any eye cream can.

Tsubaki Beauty Oil 15mL
5/5
I only started using this but I really like it! It absorbs much faster than Josie Maran’s argan oil and I also like the scent a lot better. Would recommend this for sure to anyone looking for a beauty oil alternative.
Green Tea Blotting Linens 100 Sheets
4/5
I never use blotting paper as I have really dry skin. I’ve used this a couple times to just experiment with it and I do like it. It doesn’t disturb the makeup and it doesn’t make my skin more dry. However, I just don’t have enough experience with blotting paper to say if it’s better or not.

Overall

Overall I really enjoyed trying out these items and most of these I liked! I would definitely repurchase the two cleansers and I really like the night time moisturizer and the beauty oil.

Here's what I found from Ragtag in Japan!! 🤩🤩
I've definitely had my eye on a Dior piece and it's extra special that this design is a Japan exclusive.
I have to say, second hand designer shopping is a lot harder than I remembered! There are SO many stores now, I probably visited 20+ and the prices are not so cheap anymore 🤧🤧
.
A similar card holder from Dior is probably $600 CAD + tax. I got this one for ~$350 CAD. It's in excellent condition but there was no dust bag nor box.

No reservations are required and the fare is just the basic fare (approximately $4!) 🚅
Check online for the most updated timetable but the most current is
9:32, 11:32, 13:32, and 15:32 leaving Osaka for Kyoto!
We showed up 30 minutes before boarding and was the first ones for car 5. Car 3 seems to be the most popular for the cherry blossoms!
Forget your eyeshadow palettes! This little single Forget your eyeshadow palettes! This little single eyeshadow from merit is all I need! 💚
I've been using this a lot on my vacation and it stays on amazingly well all day even with the humidity.
I went for a more unique shade but all the basic browns and neutrals are available too!

Would you swap your current eyeshadow for this?
