Best of 2014!

January 4, 2015

Get ready for a long post! I don’t normally do favorites posts but I’m gathering up all the new products I’ve tried this year and sharing with you what are some of the best products of 2014! I might not have a favorite in certain categories but I tried to cover a range of skincare, body, and makeup!
I still have favorites from previous years so this it not a complete list of all my favorite items, it’s just all my NEW favorite items of 2014. So let’s get started!
Best in Cleanser:
Boscia Cleansing Oil

Absolutely love this cleanser to take my makeup off. This doesn’t sting my eyes and really helps to remove all my eye makeup such as eyeliner and mascara! It has such an interesting formula too as you use it on dry skin and it has a cushioning effect.
Best in Skin Care:
Bioderma Hydrabio Serum and Creme*

I have really dry skin and this has really made a difference! Usually after applying moisturizer at night when I wake up in the morning my skin is kind of dry again. But when I use this, I wake up and my skin still has that “bounce”. A full review is coming soon!
Best in Hair Care:
Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Line*

I received this in an Influenster box and didn’t think I’d like this as much as I would. The conditioner leaves my hair super smooth and the shampoo is quite good too! I would definitely recommend you give this a try it’s really affordable too.
Best in Foundation:
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream
I got this BB cream in June and used it all summer! It’s quite sheer but I love how it smooths out my skin and it also has SPF!
Best in Lipsticks:
Smashbox Legendary Lipstick in Fig

I received this as a birthday present and I love the color and the formula of this lipstick. It’s very pigmented and glides on the lips. See swatch here.
Best in Palettes:
Bare Minerals Magic Act

I wrote about this palette in my Sephora gift set picks. I ended up buying this on sale for $34 which is such an AMAZING deal! This palette would be perfect for travel and I’ve been using it everyday.
Best in Perfume:
The Body Shop Madagascan Vanilla Flower*

I’ve never tried a Body Shop perfume before. But I’m really impressed with the scent of this and it’s one of the first “warm” scents that I like.
Best in Lashes:
Kiss Ever Ez Lashes
I’ve never tried Kiss lashes before but they are sooo soft and flexible! The band is also really thin so it’s easy to apply and comfortable to wear!
I tried linking to posts that contain the product so you can read more about it. Share your favorites post with me! πŸ™‚
Thanks for sticking it through! Hope everyone’s having a good start to 2014!

Here's what I found from Ragtag in Japan!! 🀩🀩
I've definitely had my eye on a Dior piece and it's extra special that this design is a Japan exclusive.
I have to say, second hand designer shopping is a lot harder than I remembered! There are SO many stores now, I probably visited 20+ and the prices are not so cheap anymore 🀧🀧
.
A similar card holder from Dior is probably $600 CAD + tax. I got this one for ~$350 CAD. It's in excellent condition but there was no dust bag nor box.

No reservations are required and the fare is just the basic fare (approximately $4!) πŸš…
Check online for the most updated timetable but the most current is
9:32, 11:32, 13:32, and 15:32 leaving Osaka for Kyoto!
We showed up 30 minutes before boarding and was the first ones for car 5. Car 3 seems to be the most popular for the cherry blossoms!
Forget your eyeshadow palettes! This little single Forget your eyeshadow palettes! This little single eyeshadow from merit is all I need! πŸ’š
I've been using this a lot on my vacation and it stays on amazingly well all day even with the humidity.
I went for a more unique shade but all the basic browns and neutrals are available too!
.
Would you swap your current eyeshadow for this?
