It may be summer time, but purple lips are always a go for me! Continuing my lip crayon reviews, I will be sharing the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Shameless with you guys. I actually picked up this guy through one of the CBB meet ups. It’s always such a fun time to get together with other beauty bloggers, share stories, and swap makeup!

Packaging
The lip crayons that I’ve been reviewing have all been pretty standard. Same with this one, it’s a pretty standard size with an outer packaging that matches the color inside! There’s no other designs on the packaging other than the product information.
Color
If you love purple lip colors, this is going to be for you! I think for some people, purple is a daunting color but for me it’s one of the more flattering colors (some of my favorites are MAC Style Curve, and Rimmel The Only 1 ). Shameless swatches a true purple! But I think since my lips are so pigmented, it comes off as more of a deep magenta when worn. The color is definitely pigmented so you’ll need a q-tip to touch up or use lip liner first.
Formula
Since it’s a matte lip crayon, I was expecting it to be quite drying. However, it’s actually quite light weight and almost moisturizing feeling when you apply it. There’s a nice mint scent to the product that fades after about 10 mins. The wear time is a bit short considering how deep this color is. I noticed fading after 2.5 hours with light drinking. But overall I’m very pleased with how it feels on the lips and how it looks.
It looks a bit patchy here but in person it looked quite good. I think I went too light handed.

This is definitely the winner of the lip crayons I reviewed so far! The scent, formula, and color are all top notch. It’s hard finding a matte lip color that doesn’t dry out the lips and this does just that and in a flattering color too!
