Exciting news everyone, pixi is returning to Canada and you can now find their products at Shoppers Drug Mart! I attended a launch event a few weeks back and am testing out a bunch of their products. One item that I instantly gravitated towards is the Pixi Mattelustre Lipstick in Rose Naturelle. Since I’ve been using this every day for a couple of weeks now, I thought I’d share this review

So let’s get the first thing out of the way, this lipstick is not a matte lipstick. I’m not sure why matte is in the name but it is definitely misleading. This is great for me though as I’ve never really been into the matte lip look and I was pleasantly surprised to find this to give off a creamy sheen.
The shade I have is Rose Naturelle which is an amazing mlbb shade on me! I have pretty pigmented lips though and that’s why it’s a pretty accurate match on me. If you have lighter colored lips, this product is quite pigmented and color pay off is a true mid toned rose nude. For a lipstick, this definitely gives off quite a bit of shine. You can see in the swatch below how the sunlight catches the sheen. I personally love this as it fills out my lips and hides any dry flakes.
The lipstick is very creamy and moisturizing! It’s very lightweight to wear and I barely feel anything on my lips once applied. Staying power is okay at around 3 hours but I don’t mind reapplying. I love that this just glides over any dry flakes and smooths over the lips. It’s so essential in the winter time as I find no matter how much scrubbing I do, I’m going to have dry flakes on my lips.
