I have been looking for a new watch for a long time and am so excited to share my Bergs + Betts watches! Not only are they a local company (from beautiful Victoria), the watch straps are also sustainably made from surplus leather scraps. They have a curated collection of 3 models but with wonderful color combinations. Read on to see how I style my Bergs + Betts watch and how you can win one for yourself too!
About Bergs + Betts
What makes Bergs + Betts watches different is that the watch straps are crafted from surplus leather that would have gone to waste! I’m trying to be more eco-friendly in my actions and being a responsible consumer is a small step towards that goal.
The watches are designed and assembled in Victoria (a ferry ride away from Vancouver). I love to support Canadian companies and it’s even better that this one is so close to home. The parts are sourced from China and the supplier was chosen based on their business practices.

The Mindful
One of the models offered by BERG + BETTS is called The Mindful ($139). This is a super minimalist design with a round face and dashes as the hour mark. I have a really small wrist so I appreciate when brands make round faces with different sizes. The Mindful is a 38mm face which is slightly smaller than their Original collection which is 40mm.
I picked this Burgundy and Rose Gold color combination as I thought it was very unique but still easy to pair with outfits. There are 16 color combinations to choose from in this model!
The Classic
The watch I decided on myself is The Classic ($119) in gold and black. I currently have two watches in my collection. Both are round faces so I wanted to try something new. I have a lot of gold and black accessories so I thought this watch would pair really well. I used to think square watches are dated but I absolutely love the classy vibe it gives off. There are not a lot of watches made in Canada with a square face so I’m ecstatic about this find!
As I mentioned earlier, my wrist is quite small and I’m happy to say that this fits perfectly! The case is 40mm by 23mm and while it’s not dainty by any means, I think it looks quite sleek!
