I have been wearing eyelash extensions for about 4 months straight (read about my first ever experience!). But now I’m finally taking a break and I can’t wait to share some of the new drugstore mascara releases! First up, I have the Revlon So Fierce Mascara. The Revlon So Fierce collection also comes with 5 eyeliners so I’ll share some swatches of those as well.

Packaging
The Revlon So Fierce mascara comes in a traditional tube but with a cool black and red ombre color that plays into the “fierce” style. The mascara wand is made up of 252 rubber bristles. I usually prefer natural bristles but these are not too hard and doesn’t poke me as much as some rubber bristle mascaras have in the past. There is a mix of long and short bristles and I find it does grab and find lashes well. The head is also flexible so it will bend and curve if you apply pressure against the tube.
Formula
The formula of this mascara is a special blend of paraffin and rice bran wax to create a glossy finish. It is also a multitasking mascara claiming to extend, lift and volumize. I like that my eyelashes stay soft and flexible the whole day. When I first apply the mascara, it does not clump. But if you go over with too many coats, it will start to combine your lashes. The curl holds up well over the day but I experience some flaking especially towards the end of the day.
I’m happy with the length and volume of my lashes although it’s not the biggest lashes I’ve ever had. That honor goes to Benefit They’re Real, Stila Huge Extreme Lash, and It Cosmetics Superhero.
Revlon So Fierce Vinyl Eyeliners
In the Revlon So Fierce collection, they also introduced 5 Vinyl Eyeliners. It’s in a pencil formula but produced a beautiful glossy finish and glides on the skin so smoothly!! You won’t be able to create super sharp edges unless you clean it up with a q tip. But I love that it doesn’t tug at the skin at all and you can get a full color pay off in just one swipe.

Here I have a before and after photo. I used the Revlon So Fierce Vinyl Eyeliner in Mocha and the Revlon So Fierce Mascara. Please don’t mind some of the crooked lashes. They are stubborn extensions that won’t come off!
