Foundation reviews are some of my most popular posts on my blog and I have 3 new ones to share so keep your eyes peeled! Today I’ll be sharing my thoughts and swatches on the Bite Beauty Changemaker foundation. Bite Beauty makes such great lip products (like this lip pencil and Amuse Buche combo) and this is their first foundation promising a natural flawless finish using micellar technology.

Packaging

The Bite Beauty Changemaker foundation comes in a sleek packaging with a pale pink and black color palette. I quite like the pale pink although it reminds me of Fenty Beauty and not so much the Bite Beauty brand. The bottom half of the foundation is transparent so you can easily see the foundation color which I appreciate! Most of my high end foundations (and even drugstore ones) come with pumps for hygienic and longevity reasons so I wish this one did as well.
Formula

The name of this foundation comes from the claims of using micellar technology to mimic skin texture for a flawless finish. It’s meant to be a medium coverage foundation suitable for dry to oily skin. I really wanted to love this foundation so I kept on testing it with different brushes and different days. But there are a few main concerns I have with it.
First off, it is really easy to end up with streaks when applied with a foundation brush. I get a better result when using a sponge but I am left with brush marks when using a foundation brush.
Secondly, the formula seems to feel slippery and never really sets into the skin. On the same line of thought, it also wipes away really easy. So if I blow my nose or wear a face mask, the product comes off.
Lastly, the product clings to my dry patches! During the winter time, I have pretty dry skin but I feel like my whole skin was shedding last month. Unfortunately I found this foundation really sets in around the skin patches and accentuates them.

The positives are that it is lightweight and feels comfortable on the skin! The coverage indeed looks quite natural once it’s blended in. I thought the finish was light to medium coverage but I prefer a lighter look so this is a plus for me.
Shades

There are 32 shades available with various undertones. L20 is described as fair light with warm undertone. This will probably match with me better during winter time as it’s just a touch light for me. The other shade is L35 which is light with warm peach undertone.
Demo

Here is an ultra close up of my face to show you the results of this foundation. I am wearing L20 on my cheeks and chin and L35 on my forehead. The redness on my cheeks is covered up as well as the discoloration around my lips. You may need to click into the photo but you’ll see the dry patches in the area of my pores. I’m still so gutted as I love the brand and wanted to love this foundation!
