One trend that I’m very on board for is the lip oil trend. I love a shiny lip as it looks so healthy and radiant to me. But lip glosses are inherently sticky. This is where lip oils come in. They usually have a slipper texture and it gives a glossy look without the stickiness. In this post, I’m sharing a few of my favorite lip oils so you can have shiny hydrated lips this fall!
Iconic London Lustre Lip Oil
Hands down my absolute favorite is the Iconic London Lustre Lip Oil. This brand is new to Sephora in 2021. To be honest, it took me a while to test out their products as the packaging was so basic. This lip oil feels plushy on the lips and provides such a reflective shine. It feels a bit on the thicker side but it’s not sticky. The best part is the delicious coconut scent. I’m immediately transported to a tropical vacation.
Smashbox The Mindful 5 Nourishing Lip Oil
I included the Smashbox The Mindful 5 Nourishing Lip Oil in my Lipsticks to Try for Winter last year! With 5 hydrating plant based oils, this is a really natural option. For anyone wanting to try the benefits of cannabais seed oil, this ingredient is part of mix. Compared to the Iconic London Lustre Lip Oil, this has a thinner texture and less of a shine. I’ll wear this at work or running errands.
Wander Beauty Lip Retreat
Another option I discovered last year is the Wander Beauty Lip Retreat Oil. There are 4 shades available and Oasis is the clear shade. The brand is all about multitasking products. This products adds shine to the lips and also contains a ton of great ingredients for hydration and antioxidant protection. You can find rosa canina fruit oil, apricot kernal oil, avocado oil, and niacinamide in this lip oil!
Laneige Lip Glowy Balm
Lastly, although this is technically a lip balm, I thought the finish and look really fits in with this post. I reviewed the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm a few years back and it’s stayed a favorite. Formulated with murumuru and shea butters, this product provides hydration and lock in moisture. It feels thick and plushy on the lips and hides any lip lines. Grapefruit is my favorite scent but there are 5 other scents available!
