I can feel it, this is the year of body care! The skincare market is incredibly crowded right now with so many amazing brands and products. I’m really excited to see how brands take the innovation and science to improve the skin over our whole bodies! Getting in on the action are these new Youth to the People Body products which just launched in early 2024! I have three of the products, and I’ve never smelled or felt so good!
Youth to the People 10% AHA + Yerba Mate Smoothing Body Scrub
AHA does wonders for making the skin on my face feel baby smooth. This body scrub uses physical and chemical exfoliation to reveal smooth skin all over the body! Why keep the good stuff only for the face? Some of the main ingredients are: lactic acid, glycolic acid, jojoba oil beads, and olive seed powder.
This scrub has an amazing unisex scent with notes of black pepper, ginger, and velvet woods. It’s a mix of uplifting citrus and also quite a warm and woody smell too.
I have keratosis pilaris which are these bumps on my upper arm and outer thighs. When I was younger, I would always pick at them. Moisturization helps a lot and I’m hoping the combination of physical jojoba oil beads and the chemical exfoliants will help my arms feel super smooth!
The suggested use is twice a week and is not recommended to use this on the face.
Youth to the People Superfood + Niacinamide Body Cleanser
This body cleanser instantly elevates my shower with its beautiful packaging. The color is a subtle sophisticated dark green, and the font on the product looks spa like. Also, let’s not forget the pump! I find it so convenient to have a pump in my shower products. Packaging wise, this product checks all the boxes.
Youth to the People is a brand known for using Superfoods so it’s no surprise that this body cleanser will contain superfood extracts too! Some of the main ingredients are: niacinamide, kale extract and green tea extract. I usually apply body cleanser with my hands instead of using a loofah so I can really feel the product. This one has a slightly thicker texture that I love because it doesn’t feel it’ll just drip off the skin. It provides a beautiful silky lather that showcases the quality ingredients.
Another huge factor for me in body cleansers is the scent! This product also has a unisex scent (be careful that your partner doesn’t use it all up!). The initial smell is bright but instantly turns more woodsy and musky. Overall, it doesn’t linger too much so you can layer it with any fragrance after. The official scent notes are: cedarwood, black pepper and fresh greens.
Youth to the People Superberry Firm + Glow Dream Body Butter
Another really amazing Youth to the People body products is the body butter. You won’t want to keep this under the sink as it’s a piece that begs to be the center of a bathroom vanity. The sleek packaging is made of glass and therefore is very heavy and luxurious feeling. The black font and black lid adds to the sleek feel.
Interestingly, Youth to the People decided to do different scents for each of their body products. The Hydrate + Glow Dream Body Butter has a much lighter and refreshing scent with notes of yuzu, green tea and blonde woods. It really reminds me of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea which was an iconic perfume.
Jojoba seed oil is the second ingredient, which is super impressive. Which makes sense as this product feels deeply nourishing. True to it’s name, it is a thicker product with a really nice texture that lingers without feeling sticky.
Final Thoughts
All of the Youth to the People body products are made with a vegan formula. The formulas are created in California and focuses on Superfoods and science. I’m really enjoying using these in my shower routine. The beautiful packaging and scent makes a daily mundane task feel like mini spa retreat. I am curious to see how the collection will expand and whether each scent will have its own set of products.
